I feel a lot of pressure to publish more frequently â maybe you relate. At this point, I'm posting 1-2x per day on [Twitter](), daily on [LinkedIn](, and almost daily on [Instagram](=). That's a lot of content! And if you subscribe to [the Hormozi playbook](=), that is still a fraction of what I "should" be putting out there. It can feel like an endless grind. A content hamster wheel. And when you're focused on running running running on your content hamster wheel, it's easy to lose sight of what we're actually trying to do here! We're not just publishing to attract and keep attention to ourselves...we should be publishing to help people. But it's so easy to fall into thinking of your publishing as a self-serving activity. It starts with your purpose. Who are you serving? How are you serving them? In [episode #2 of Creative Elements](, James Clear said to me: If I didn't know what to write, or I wasn't sure if I was doing the right thing, I just kept asking myself, "What is the object of the reader's desire?"
â
So in my case, it's a book about habits. The front cover says, "How to Build Good Habits and Break Bad Ones."
â
So if I didn't know what to write, I'd write about that. And that did help me quite a few times when I like wasn't clear about, is this section worth it or not? Well, does it help people build good habits or break bad ones? And there was a lot of editing and trimming and cutting that that happened because of that line in questioning. I love the idea of using your purpose as a filter for your work. Is the content you're creating serving that purpose? If not, scrap it. This week I created a database inside Notion just called "Problems." This database is a list of all the problems I hear content creators share with me: â So now when I'm thinking about what to write in my daily publishing, I can simply reference this list of problems and speak to solutions to help. If I'm writing something that doesn't speak to one of these problems, it either means I need to add a new problem to the list or scrap it. It really helps keep your audience front and center â and it helps to calibrate your content hamster wheel. I recommend you create one for yourself! â â [Sponsor Image]( PRESENTED BY OTHERBOARD
