This was a re-entry week for me. With the Thanksgiving holiday and nearly a week in Mexico, this was the first week back at the keyboard since late November. But it felt good! I spent a lot of time inside [The Lab](=) kicking off our newest Shared Focus Sprint. This month, we're focused on Effective Outreach and how to go first in building relationships. I also recorded my 30-minute Retro video for November diving into my P&L, what I've learned about growth on Twitter and LinkedIn, and the different decisions I'm making. ...re-entry week also means that I'm writing this newsletter on Saturday morning. I used to wear working on the weekends as a badge of honor, but that's changed. Now I really try to protect as much of my weekend time as possible for family and friends. But sometimes I miss the mark! And this was one of those weeks. As I look towards 2023, I'm thinking about how I can help more people start creating and publishing more frequently. So in this week's essay, I'm sharing with you how to get past a very common hangup â what to do when you worry you "aren't an expert." Let's get into it... â â [Sponsor Image](=) PRESENTED BY THE HUSTLE

What if you're not an expert? To become a great creator, you need to create. But many creators get in their own way because they believe "they're not an expert." I hear creators say it all the time. And it's not always explicit â it's usually an offhand remark about their current content strategy (or lack thereof). "Well, I'm not an expert, so I don't know what to say..." It stops people from creating. And that's a huge problem. So if you feel like YOU aren't an expert and that belief is preventing you from publishing, I have a few questions for you... Check these out âï¸ [Sales Page Copy Audit](=) â Over the last several months, I've gotten to know Ame Proietti. Highly recommend. --------------------------------------------------------------- ð [Holiday special â 30% off Riverside]( â I'm a big fan of Riverside. We have to stop Conan O'Brien I got some great news this week â Creative Elements is nominated for a [Signal Award](=). It's very legit â it means that the show is among the highest scored work of nearly 1,700 podcasts entered from some of the biggest creators in the industry. Other nominees include: - Pod Save America
- Masters of Scale
- In The Bubble
- Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend ...and that's where I need your help. Creative Elements is nominated in the Creativity & Marketing Category...and we're losing to Conan O'Brien. He has a GREAT show, but...come on. Is it really about Creativity & Marketing? [Vote for Creative Elements](=)â There is a panel of judges (legit judges) who will issue their own ruling, but the Signal Awards have a Listener's Choice Award too â and that's where you can help. Right now, I'm in second-place behind Conan. The race has actually been pretty close at times â but he's starting to gain ground. Can you please cast a vote for Creative Elements? It'll take just a minute and it could really help the show's clout in the industry. It would really turn some heads if we're able to win this category in listener voting. [Click here to vote](=) â
The page will show you after you vote how close the race is. And if you wanted to go the extra mile, sharing it on your feed would go a long way! And if you do vote, hit reply to let me know so that I can thank you. ð Cheers,
