I went to a forest cabin and I had plaaaans. I'm kicking off this week's roundup with a bit of an awkward question for the copywriters... How much do you want your business to earn each month? Got a number? GREAT! Next question... do you have a plan to earn it? Err... just work a lot? Working more does not earn you more. #truth Going from a really, really cheap copywriter to a top dollar, top of your game copywriter boils down to a series of intentional steps that you take on a consistent basis with regular check-ins along the way. Not with me. But with yourself. I did an IGTV about this but here they are ICYMI - Check in with your rates -- Are you charging enough? And this goes beyond "charging your worth". Know your numbers in terms of how many hours you work, how many of those hours are billable what your living and business expenses are. Do your project fees reflect the experience that you've gained in the last six months? Last 12 months? - Check in with the work you're doing -- Are you working with the right people? If you want to reach specific income goals and your current clients are all low-ballers, then you may need to adjust what you offer and who you target in your marketing. - Check in with where you show up -- Are you surrounding yourself with people who will help you grow and evolve? Is there opportunity to do the same for others? I'd love to know what kind of check ins you do for your business, against that GPS setting of where you want to go? Now, if you're totally clueless about the kind of steps you should be taking. I'm running a FREE webinar that will help.[It's called Path to Profit](). It's how to have a $2K or $5K and $10K a month as a copywriter. A more enticing (and shorter) headline would "How to earn $10K a month as a copywriter", but you know what? When you're starting out, you just want to earn $2K every month, and then you get going and you want to lock in $5K every month. And they require different strategic actions from you. I'm coming to you LIVE with tangible steps you need to take -- from marketing and lead gen down to your development, and the kind of projects you need to book , and the kind of people you need to surround yourself with, so you can reach your unique, totally doable [Path To Profit](). Click any of the orange links to the left, above, or below and pick the date and time that works best for you. Each webinar is LIVE and they kick off May 6th, 7th, 8th. OMG! It's next week! Are you coming? > [FREE Path To Profit Webinar]() --------------------------------------------------------------- Hot convos and questions Another edition of hot convos, Q's and A's... from the belly of the For The Love of Copy FB Group: #QUESTIONS - [Bryan Popp]( asked: As someone new to copywriting and running my own business I'm excited and anxious. Pop in [here.](=) #RESOURCES 🧠Mindset Edition: From books, to mini courses, and coaches that rock -- here's where people are looking to for all things mindset. - 📖 Book: This may make me sound like a broken record but I can't recommend [The Big Leap]() enough. If you've ever said to yourself "Why do I keep doing this to myself?" or "Why isn't anything budging?" than you need this in your life. - 👩🏻‍🏫 Mini Course: [The Unstoppable Bootcamp](=)with mindset + business strategist Linda Perry kicks off this Monday. Linda is a former attorney, turned copywriter, turned super badass, accessible coach. Yes, we have members who've been in CC that long.
