And I’ve got the scars to prove it … ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌

And I’ve got the scars to prove it (pictures attached)… ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ Odd way to start off a story, huh? Just wait – it’s gonna get weirder. Truth is, I’ve had revelations lately. And they all come down to one thing: To begin the process of releasing all the things in my life that no longer serve me and my higher purpose… Physically… Mentally… Emotionally… Spiritually… Because there’s so much shit. So much stress. So much tension. So much inflammation. So much trauma. So much pain. So much suffering. And while we ALL carry these… What you carry throughout your day-to-day life may look a whole helluva lot different than what I carry… …and what I’ve been carrying has been weighing me down for far, far too long. So, I decided to try something new… Saturday, I decided to try frog poison. Willingly – from the Giant Leaf Frog. (Also known as the Bicolor Tree-Frog, Giant Monkey Frog, or Waxy-Monkey Tree-Frog.) Here’s a picture: Cute little fellow, don’tcha think? You see, just last Saturday… I sat in my first sacred plant medicine ceremony – known as Kambo. So, what the heck is Kambo? It’s kinda like “frog mucus.” These miraculous, bright-green creatures that live in the Amazon rainforest… …secrete a poisonous waxy substance to defend themselves from predators – this is what’s used in a Kambo ceremony. According to the indigenous people… Kambo is a spirit of the forest and is deeply respected – so, everything about gathering the frog’s medicine is done with respect and reverence. Why did I try Kambo? The indigenous people have used Kambo for centuries to heal and cleanse the body by strengthening its natural defenses. And traditionally… It was reserved only for tribal hunters, not only for fighting disease and illnesses, but to amplify the senses, sharpen reflexes, and enhance physical prowess with boosted fertility… This is why it’s known as… The “Warrior’s Medicine.” (You’ll understand below why it takes a warrior’s mindset to commit to this ceremony.) And these days… Shamans and naturopathic practitioners still use it for cleansing the body of toxins. And here’s the process: - First, we drank two cups of water, mixed with Cassava root… - Next, our facilitator used a burning stick to create 4 small burns on our left shoulder, resulting in blisters… - Then, the Kambo medicine is applied on top of the wounds… And from there… The Kambo immediately enters the lymphatic systems and bloodstream, where it’s said to race around the body, scanning for problems. (It’s worth noting that this is a non-psycho-active medicine, so it’s not like Ayahuasca or Psilocybin mushrooms – it’s strictly used for physical detoxing.) And from there, the “fun” begins… And by fun, I’m talking about one of the most intense physical detoxes & purges I’ve ever experienced in my life… At first… The medicine burned like hell on my arm, then the heart rate spikes, then intense nausea comes on like a flood, then I started to sweat profusely… as if I’d just played 4 hockey games in a row… And from THERE… The process of “getting well” begins. It’s not considered “getting sick” because this is where the sacred medicine performs its magic in the form of the purge. And over the next hour… While continuously drinking water to help flush out the toxins, I proceeded to “get well” and filled about 8 inches of my “puke bucket” with the things that no longer serve my physical body. THIS IS WHY… Kambo is often referred to as the “Warrior’s Medicine” – because it takes a particular type of mindset to confront that which no longer serves you… …the stress, trauma, and suffering that we all keep locked away deep inside our bodies. So, if you’re also on the healing path… I can’t begin to recommend highly enough that you dedicate some time to researching this profound experience. (I’ll have more to share on this journey of sitting with Kambo in the future.) Right now, you may be thinking… “Matt – this is a damn fine story, but… “I subscribed to your emails to learn about copywriting, marketing, and all that good stuff, so… where’s the lesson here?” I’m so glad you asked. Because, you see, over these past couple of years since launching Copy Legends, I’ve also learned a few things… …about the things that no longer serve my business – things that I also desperately need to purge from my processes and systems. And the very first thing to go? That traditional sales letter. Yep, I said it – and I mean it! If you followed my recent launch… You know, our new Email Copy Coaching program, you likely noticed that I didn’t build out some fancy sales letter in my funnel-building software… Instead… I tried something highly non-traditional (similar to my Kambo ceremony) – both of which led to miraculous results… Instead… I assembled a quick-and-simple Google Doc for our new Email Copy Coaching program, which led to almost 30 new members joining our beta launch… That’s why over the next few days… I’m gonna tell you WHY I did it, and… I’m gonna tell you HOW I did it, and… I’m gonna teach YOU how to do it. Because the truth is simple… Most of us – as copywriters – we MAKE OUR LIVING VIA SALES LETTERS… Think about it… If you write your own offers… If you write for clients’ offers… We’re all selling something… …with some form of sales letter at the end! But – there’s a better way. A faster way. A sexier way. An easier way. And I’m gonna share it all with you. Along with a whole host of bonuses that you’re gonna get with this new, underground strategy that’s about to change the entire copywriting game. You’re gonna wanna learn this stuff. And you’ll have the full details soon. I’ll plan to reconnect tomorrow… Matt “Thank You, Kambo” Bockenstette ===== P.S. – Here are the scars to prove it: As you can imagine, purging that much in such a short amount of time works up quite an appetite, so I figured I’d share my first post-ceremony bite with you, also… P.P.S. – Reply, and let me know… Are you interested in hearing more about my ultra-powerful Google Doc Sales Page strategy?
