So – let’s dive straight the fuck in… Wanna know the opening line for the original Copy Legends sales letter? It was an attention-grabber. It was unorthodox. It was flashy. And in only the first 124 days… It generated $101,110 in sales. For a $7 front-end offer. BUT – most important of all... It accomplished its ONE objective. The opening line of that original Copy Legends sales letter? “Yippee Ki-Yay, Motherfucker.” And the opening line for the 2nd “Facebook Compliant” version? “It’s almost impossible to describe.” And the opening line for the newest email opt-in version that landed you here? “My sales copy used to flop.” That’s what we’re discussing today: Your OPENING LINES – the ones in your ads, sales letters, & emails – and what their SINGULAR OBJECTIVE is. And not just the first line, either… But the very first few lines that consist of your entire opening PARAGRAPH. Here’s the opening paragraph for the original Copy Legend sales letter: “Yippee Ki-Yay, Motherfucker. It’s one of those feelings you never forget. In fact, there’s nothing quite like it. That day you experience it for the first time. Here’s the opening paragraph for the “Facebook Compliant” version: “It’s almost impossible to describe. But I’ll tell ya this much… When your day finally comes… You’ll see for yourself – it’s all true… Everything they’ve always said about it. And it’ll feel like nothing you’ve ever felt before. I say that because it happened to me on July 31st, 2017. 1,291 days after making my 1st online sale.” Here’s the opening paragraph for the newest email opt-in sales letter: “My sales copy used to flop. Hard. Like a big belly. Off a 50-foot high-dive. And it didn’t start converting until I finally…” Do you see how each line INVITES you to read the next? It continues to build curiosity in the reader’s mind – it continues to pull them deeper into the copy.
