Alex In My Inbox is a weekly copywriting series where I share interesting, actionable, and hilarious copywriting tips from "Alex." Alex is an anonymous copywriter who shares these tips with me so I can share them with you. Today, Alex has an email for us about what we should be doing at this point in the year. The holidays are nearly here, and instead of grinding out and trying to grow, do this instead. But first... â In my opinion, 2024 is going to look drastically different. I think we'll see more companies: 1. Adopt AI. Think we've seen peak AI? Guess again. We're just scratching the surface here. 2. Go away from full-time W2 employees and instead hire people on a freelance basis. 3. Will leverage overseas talent (more than they already do). With these changes, we will see companies a) become wildly more productive while b) becoming more profitable. I've personally been going down this path with one of the companies I own. The results? Incredible efficiency and profitability. To the tune of ~80% profit margins. It's been incredible! Now the question you're probably asking yourself, as others have been asking me as well: Where can I find great US-based freelance marketers? How about great overseas marketers, designers, and sales assistants? I got you covered: - Find the best US-based freelance marketers [here.]( - Find the best overseas marketers, designers, and sales assistants [here.]( sponsored  Now, onto today's edition: â â Dear Chase, Hope youâre doing well around this time of year. Hope the wife and kids are feeling the Christmas spirit, and I hope youâre ready to put your Santa suit on and spoil everyone. All of my entrepreneur friends are freaking out right now. Unless youâre in ecom, youâre probably realizing that business has slowed to a halt recently. Services and info-products are not typically on peopleâs Christmas list, so nobodyâs buying that kind of stuff. Itâs just a down period where thereâs no new business coming in. Some people are trying to fight it. Some people are pushing harder than ever to try and squeeze out sales to no avail. Theyâre just burning their audience. Some people are sitting back and doing absolutely nothing, which is also not good, because you donât wanna lose all of your momentum. I think thereâs a balance here that Iâve been telling everyone about. And itâs the concept of perfecting your product. This generation of entrepreneurs has this run-and-gun approach to business, where they build an MVP (minimum viable product) and just start ripping it. They donât spend too much time honing their craft before taking it to market and selling it. And you can still make money that way. Thereâs nothing really wrong with that. But in this holiday downtime, you should spend ALL of your working hours perfecting your craft. The reasons for that are: - Thereâs nothing else to do. You really have no other choice. - It increases your conviction in your sales and marketing. When you sell, itâs not really about the words you say. Itâs about how you say them. Some people are able to talk about their product with such legendary conviction because they believe there is NO better option for their customer. They know that the customer in front of them simply canât find a competitor that can offer them more for less money. That is an essential part of sales. And thatâs why some people make billions, and some make zero. So, in the downtime between now and January 5th (ish), you should be perfecting your product so that you have 10x more conviction when the new year comes. How do you do that? Learn supplementary skills. Hire more people for fulfillment. Dial in your funnel. Add features. Anything but selling. Copywriters can challenge themselves to write long-form copy every day and keep getting better. Or they can brush up on their email marketing skills. Or they can learn SEO, media buying, and SMS. Or they can figure out how to make their website better. Anything but outreach. Same for SaaS, info, and agencies. âTis the season to perfect our products. Curious to know if youâre on the same wave, Chase. Chat next week! Yours truly, Alex. â â I hope you enjoyed this week's Alex In My Inbox edition. Have a great weekend, Chase â Other links/info: -
