Last year there was a list circulating around by a bloke named Troy Ericson ranking the list of the top 44 most popular copywriters. Way I understand it - and I am getting this info second hand, do what you want with it - it was based on a survey of 712 copywriters and marketers. It was cleverly positioned as an “interview.” So lots of us eagerly hopped on answering the questions. I mostly found the results more amusing than shocking. But, also, in some ways, highly useful. And there are 2 main reasons why: 1. It showed me ranking higher than guys like John Carlton, Gene Schwartz, Clayton Makepeace, Parris Lampropoulos, and even Email Players subscribers Gary Bencivenga & David Deutsch — which is, of course, absurd… but it also illustrates how ignorant many online marketers & copywriters are of the history of their own industry. 2. It very accurately showed the power of ranking. Of course the guy doing the survey and his pals are at the top. And that is as it should be, considering the logistics of it. Plus, practically speaking, if you do a rankings list and ain't rigging it you ain't doing it right. If I did a similar list it’d have a totally different kind of ranking. So would most anyone else's list if they did such a ranking. Anyway, here’s the big secret of rankings: They’re bull shyt. Always have been, always will be. That's literally the game. This is no slight against those doing them. It can be a very cunning way to get new business. And that’s why you see prestigious and very wealthy companies doing them — from the Forbes wealthiest list to the Academy Awards to Peoples sexiest man alive to even JD Powers safest cars, when nobody even knows what a JD Powers even is. It’s also a great status and prestige builder, too. i.e., if you’re at the top of a list, you’ll almost certainly get more business. And, probably, with no other proof about your business required. Normies in your market see you ranked high, assume you’re the guy or ghoul, and buy. This is also a requirement (doing things that are going to shoot you to the top of such lists when applicable — whether you deserve it or not) Dan Kennedy talks at length about at the very beginning of his 7-Figure Academy course. I’ve been on many such lists of favorite or “best” copywriters. In many cases, where I am ranked is not even close to accurate. Often I’m ranked way TOO high, quite frankly. And the reason for that, I believe, is because I so aggressively implement the strategies and principles and big ideas Dan Kennedy teaches throughout the course from start to finish. There is no one thing it teaches about this, it’s lots of things, the whole course has to be taken as a whole. And the more you use and the faster you use what it teaches the better. That’s been the case for my business. And I suspect it could be for yours, too, if you qualify. If you want in, and at a discount just for my boys & ghouls, here’s what to do: 1. Buy the course with my affiliate link below by Friday, March 10 at midnight EST. 2. Forward me your receipt by that deadline (you must send it BY the deadline to get it) You’ll get immediate access to the course, and I’ll send you the nearly 2 hour bonus about how I’ve been using the info for almost 6 years now to not only go from six to seven figures, but how I still use the info in my business ventures today. NOTE: you’ll need a smart phone to access the bonus. No exceptions. All right, here’s the link: [https∶//www.EmailPlayers.com/se7en]( Ben Settle P.S. This course is not intended for newbies, amateurs, or goo-roo fanboys playing business on social media all day. Nothing I sell is. But that goes triple for this course. It’s not called “4-Figure Academy”, “5-Figure Academy”, or even “6-Figure Academy.” It’s called “7-Figure Academy” for a reason. It requires a lot of deep thinking, introspection, & hard work to implement. It’s short on checklists or tactics. And is long on strategies and big ideas. There’s a reason why Dan Kennedy is called The Millionaire Maker. And this course illustrates that reason as well as anything I’ve ever seen.
