We cordially invite you to register today for our upcoming BELE Network Virtual Convening: PARTNERS, POWER, AND PATHWAYS: MOBILIZING A COALITION TO TRANSFORM STUDENT EXPERIENCES powered by the BELE Network on Wednesday, May 24 | 6:00p - 8:00p EDT & Thursday, May 25 | 12:00p - 4:00p EDT [REGISTER NOW]( Dr. Shawn Ginwright AUTHOR, PROFESSOR, ACTIVIST Dr. Shawn Ginwright is one of the nation’s leading innovators, provocateurs, and thought leaders on African American youth, youth activism, and youth development. Over the past 25 years, Shawn has advocated for the healing of broken systems by championing strategies rooted in equity and hope. He is looking forward to bringing his expertise of community engagement, executive leadership, and visionary ideas to Harvard’s Graduate School of Education, where he has recently accepted the Jerome T. Murphy endowed chair. Dr. Ginwright is Founder of [Flourish Agenda, Inc.]( a national nonprofit consulting firm, whose mission is to design strategies that unlock the power of healing and engage youth of color and adult allies in transforming their schools and communities. Why Convene Now? Right now, we have an opportunity to reshape how young people learn and experience school. By coming together, we can create a space to connect and share best practices, stories, and learnings to catalyze progress toward an education system where every student can thrive. This year, our event PARTNERS, POWER, AND PATHWAYS: MOBILIZING A COALITION TO TRANSFORM STUDENT EXPERIENCES will accomplish the following: - Articulate the why, what, and how of transforming student experience by showcasing brilliance and innovation from the field. - Highlight stories of promising work through the voices of educators, students, caregivers, and community partners - Grow and expand a national movement of educators, partners, students and families, committed to creating learning environments centering equity, excellence and well-being for all students - Develop pathways for ongoing collaboration and movement expansion Join us for the two-day event where you will be able to connect with peers, learn from experts, and engage in tailored breakouts. As a participant, you will walk away with effective practices to center student experience in your role and actionable knowledge to build toward an education system that serves the needs of all students.
