My time in Congress is coming to an end this week, and I’ve been putting a lot of work and thought into my next steps. But one thing is certain: I want to find a way to keep utilizing the incredible platform we’ve built together over the years. The 2020 results made clear that if Democrats want to create the political infrastructure and coalitions that we need to win elections and be in a position to pass progressive policy change, then we need to change the way we organize and re-think how our Party directs its resources. We need to invest -- often and early -- in the people doing the work on the ground in their community to build support for Democratic values, issues, and candidates, 365 days a year. I’m excited to talk to you more about my next steps after the new year, which I hope will focus on some of the challenges highlighted above. In the meantime, tonight is a critical end of year budget deadline for my Leadership PAC and the resources we have in the door by midnight will have a direct impact on the organizing work we can do around the Georgia runoffs, inauguration, and beyond. [Can I count on your financial support?]( You’ve already seen the start of this work. Together, we raised more than $100,000 over the last month for service organizations, Georgia runoff candidates, and local organizing efforts doing the hard work on the ground for the causes we care about. My next steps are about focusing on this local groundwork and connecting you with some really incredible activists, organizations, and efforts nationwide. Today, I’m asking you to be at the ground level of this critical work with a donation to my Leadership PAC. [Every dollar in the door today will provide a strong foundation to build lasting impact for 2021 and beyond. Donate now.]( Your gift will also get you on the list to be the first to hear about our virtual launch events and get updates as we get off the ground. You will also be on the ground floor as we advocate to change a Democratic Party that has become too top-heavy, and too disconnected from the lived experience of a lot of American communities. Together, we can help build a better, more connected, more responsive Party. [CONTRIBUTE]( More soon, Joe --------------------------------------------------------------- Our future, our democracy and our humanity are on the line. Joe Kennedy wants to use the platform he's built to support Democratic candidates, build a diverse and inclusive future for our Party, and help take our country back. But he can only do that with you by his side.
