Zeplin now shows components in design! Plus, learn how top teams use Zeplin for Figma design handoff

Zeplin now shows components in design! Plus, learn how top teams use Zeplin for Figma design handoff All treats, no tricks We all love a good mystery — except when it comes to your design system. That’s the whole reason why we made Styleguides for Zeplin. We saw a gap in communication between designers and developers when it came to what design elements were reusable and part of a broader design system (rather than a one-off button). With Styleguides, teams can ensure their designs are brand-consistent while surfacing design system elements from Figma, Sketch and Adobe XD like colors, spacing tokens, and design components. We’re taking this design-code connection even further with our latest features. Read on! Show all components in designs We’re excited to roll out two new features that surface components within designs: Highlight Components and our newly improved integration for Storybook. With Highlight Components, you’ll always know whether a design layer is a component, a working component connected to code or somewhere in between. Zeplin’s revamped integration for Storybook automatically searches the styleguide connected to Storybook and suggests matches between components in Zeplin and stories in Storybook. We hope that these two features will help product teams gain: - A singular design system - Saved time and better planning - More autonomy and ease [Learn more]( An A+ Figma handoff goes beyond the inspect panel Just because friction between design and development has been the norm, doesn’t mean it’s the future. We’ve found three main issues affecting cross-functional collaboration in design tools: - The need for clarity on exactly what to build - A lack of organization and structure - A disorienting workspace for non-designers We unpack how to address each of these challenges in our latest post on how the top teams are winning with Figma and Zeplin.
