[YITH]( Hi there, The purchase decision in a new website is always encouraged by the safety it provides. It may seem obvious, but some e-commerce sites still make the same mistakes.  Would you stay alone for long in a dark alley? Would you enter your own home, your safe place, if you saw the door was open and forced? Obviously not, and you don't want your users to feel like Freddy Krueger could show up at any moment.   Keep in mind that your site can't look like a scary movie: complex checkout process, endless registration forms, not mobile friendly, etc.  According to an Avira survey, 20% of consumers do not shop online because they feel insecure. Of those who shop online, 30% worry when doing so, and 22% only use well-known e-commerce sites. E-commerce giants like Amazon take care of all this kind of details to make their shoppers feel comfortable. What can you do? Here are 5 tips to make your customers feel secure on your website.  - Display security seal icons. Make sure your website security is certified and validated by official third-party authorities and that the seal badges released by these authorities are prominently displayed on your store. Your users will feel safer when buying from you, considering they have to submit sensitive information during the checkout process. Several studies have demonstrated an increase in conversions after the implementation of trust badges. - Add customer reviews. According to Internet Retailer, you can increase your e-commerce conversion rate by 14-76% just by adding product reviews to your online store. Customer reviews about your products, will give them credibility, and quality. Users will feel confident when buying.  - Don't forget to add company identification and history. To build customer trust, include your company's contact information and add the company's trade registry information. Moreover, adding your business history and team adds a human touch to your e-commerce experience by letting your customers know they have a real person behind their purchase. - Make the payment reliable and secure. E-commerce fraud is a common concern, so it is important to use a trusted payment gateway service. According to some studies, 74% of US users and 67% of European users prefer to pay by credit card only. To provide a positive shopping experience, you can integrate payment gateways such as Stripe that allow customers to pay for orders placed in your store using credit cards. - Highlight your privacy policy, terms and conditions, and refund policy. Provide accurate information about the conditions and rights of users in our online store. Transparency and the use of language that is easy to understand at all levels when explaining your policies can have a positive impact on conversions. Similarly, providing a refund option encourages purchases because customers know they can get their money back if they are not satisfied.   Now you have some tips to keep customers from abandoning your online store. Don't scare them away! Try implementing these in your store - if you haven't yet - and see what happens and don't miss our newsletter for more tips like this.
