One of the emotions I struggled with early on as an entrepreneur was jealousy. I felt bad every time I saw someone with a huge audience, making big money from their online content business because they had millions of followers. Many nights I would try to fall asleep, but my anger and envy kept me awake. I thought to myself -- "I work hard. I create content. I provide value... yet my audience is so small." For a time I believed if I just worked more, produced more, I could finally break through. Eventually I realized this was a flawed mindset. There was a tiny chance I could build a large enough audience to be like the superstar creators, but in reality very few people ever grow to have millions of followers. On top of this, to maintain that kind of following and stay relevant, you have to work so hard. Deep down I was a lifestyle-first person. I enjoyed being creative and working on content, but I never had the energy or the motivation to put in 12-hour days. I knew I would burn out and get sick if I followed that path, and even then there was no guarantee of success. A Smarter Path I decided to find another way to earn a full time income from my content business. Having an audience was still important, but I was going to figure out how to make more with less. I saw myself as a 'micro-influencer'. This meant I had an audience, but it was in the thousands of people, not millions. To make this work I had to figure out a better financial model. ...a better way to make money. I break down the changes I made and the experiments I tested, in this blog post: - [How To Make A Full Time Income As A Micro-Influencer (A Content Creator With A Small Audience)]( Talk soon, Yaro P.S.
