Today marks two years since far-right extremists attacked the US Capitol with the goal of stopping Congress from certifying the results of a fair and free presidential election. There were countless heroes on that day. Like the Capitol and DC Metro Police, and the representatives in the Capitol who remained committed to their constitutional duty to certify the results of the election. It takes each and every American who believes in the will of the people to do their part to protect it. We have seen what can happen when representatives put misinformation over democracy.
