On the Path... [View in Web Browser]( [CLCIK HERE to Book your FREE 15-minute coaching call with Dylan]( Hi {NAME}, One thing all of my coaching clients have in common is that they wish to experience a sense of peace in this volatile world, which means that above all else they must first overcome anxiety. Anxiety is the number one negative influence on our peace and inner stability, and it either shows up in tidal waves, which can be severely debilitating, or it shows up as a chronic low-level nuisance, underlying and shaping everything else in our lives. In my coaching practice I focus on assisting clients in overcoming self-sabotage by teaching them how to master their emotional reality on a day-to-day basis. When their emotions are not leading them astray, they're able to make great choices in support of prosperity, health and wellness. ===>> Book a FREE, no-obligation 15-minute coaching call with me, [HERE.]( What I’ve found is that most people don’t really understand how emotions influence and impact our thoughts, and they don’t understand how people typically process negative emotions. In his excellent book Letting Go, David Hawkins talks about what this means... “The mind is, therefore, a survival mechanism, and its method of survival is primarily the use of emotions. Thoughts are engendered by the emotions and, eventually, emotions become shorthand for thoughts. Thousands and even millions of thoughts can be replaced by a single emotion. Emotions are more basic and primitive than mental processes. Reason is the tool the mind uses to achieve its emotional ends. When used by intellect, the basic underlying emotion is usually unconscious or at least out of awareness. When the underlying emotion is forgotten ignored and not experienced, people are unaware of the reason for their actions and they develop all kinds of plausible reasons. In fact, they frequently do not know why they are doing what they are doing.” When we're under the spell of emotions, we fall back to ingrained behavioral patterns, including negative thinking and self-defeating thought loops. We automatically do the same self-destructive things, because it feels like it's giving us relief. Things like junk food, sweets, alcohol, or even TV offer a sense of immediate relief from anxiety, by shifting the underlying emotion. You feel better, but your life is actually getting worse. [Access your FREE 15-minute insight call with Dylan]( Hawkins goes on to explain that people typically process emotions in one of three ways, which all fail to give us the emotional freedom we need to make sound, reasonable decisions. The first is repression/suppression, which either happens unconsciously or is forced. Have you ever told yourself that it’s not ok to feel the anger or resentment you feel, and so you just pushed it down? The second way is by expression of negative emotions, which can be done in a somewhat healthy way if channeled toward creativity, but most people only create more conflict and drama in their lives when they attempt to express their negative feelings to people close to them. The third way is by escaping, and so many people are masters of this one. They typically drink alcohol, do drugs or pop pills, or even escape by distracting themselves with Netflix or countless hours of ‘research’ about what is happening in our world. None of these three ways actually solves the problem, but as Hawkins shows us, there is a fourth, little-known way of properly managing negative emotions so that we gain instant freedom from the downward pull of this energy. It is simply the process of Letting Go. That is, separating the negative emotion from the thoughts it creates, and allowing the energy of the emotion to simply dissipate, so there is no longer a need to suppress, express, or escape it. This is one of the fundamental skills I teach my clients, and it is perhaps the most important skill you can develop today, because it gives you the inner peace you deserve, and frees up an abundant amount of energy which can be used for expanding your life and for taking action on that which matters most to you and makes the greatest positive impact for you. ===>>If you’d like to know how my coaching can make a huge difference in your life over the next 3-6 months, book a FREE 15-minute call with me, [HERE.]( In the next newsletter I’ll talk more about how this world intentionally encourages emotionality over rationality so as to contribute to the confusion, chaos and drama in your life.
