It's an open secret in our world [View in Web Browser]( [CLICK HERE to Register Now for Overcome Self-Sabotage 2022 - ONLY 5 SPOTS AVAILABLE!]( Hi {NAME}, As a self-sabotage coach, I assist people in overcoming the habit of engaging in self-defeating behaviors, thoughts, beliefs and programs, so that they can concentrate their energy on the actions that make their life better. === This is what my upcoming event, Overcome Self-Sabotage 2022 is about, and you can view details [HERE.]( The first step in this process is educating them on how self-sabotaging behaviors become automatic. This isn't stuff they teach in school, because it really functions as an open secret in our world. The majority of our behavior, positive or negative, is unconscious, meaning we're doing rather than thinking. If you regularly procrastinate, overeat, avoid responsibility or self-medicate, but tell yourself you'd be better off not doing these things, then where is the urge to do these things come from? And why do these behaviors always seem to override your desire to not do them? The answer lies in the simplicity of how the human mind works. Through repetition and repetitive suggestion, the human mind learns what behaviors are most acceptable and most likely to keep you feeling safe within the circle of influence you live in. As David Hawkins, author of Letting Go, puts it... "Whichever psychology is studied reveals that the primary human goal, superseding all others, is survival." To the mind, not fitting in puts your survival at risk, but, it has a built in safety-seeking mechanism called the subconscious mind which steers your behavior towards the things which will be less likely to put you at risk of rejection or abandonment. This is well understood in psychology, but the open secret has to do with how this is used against you. And the key word here is repetition. Take any self-defeating thing that you do and look around for where you go the idea to do it. Then take notice of how often, and for how long, this idea has been suggested to you. Some examples of the repetitive content you are always exposed to are: Relationship Conflict - How much content in movies and television (think soap operas) has to do with conflict, betrayal, drama and dysfunction? Financial Chaos - How much content in movies and television sets the example of being financially irresponsible? How much glorifies being poor or middle class? Poor Health - How much content in media, including advertising, portrays eating unhealthy foods as fun or celebratory? Avoidance of Responsibility - How much content glorifies being an adult child and never reaching full adult maturity? Alcoholism - How much content glorifies drinking alcohol, and how often do you see ads, stores and restaurants promoting alcohol consumption? These examples are only the tip of the iceberg, and much of self-sabotaging behavior also originates from the personal examples you've had in your life, including parents, family, teachers and friends. In a few weeks I'll be hosting a comprehensive self-sabotage coaching course which explains all of this in great detail before I spend one-on-one time with you to analyze your unique patterns and give you an action plan to overcome your self-sabotage, so that you can immediately get to work on creating a better life for yourself. Registration will close in a couple of weeks, and as of now there are ONLY 5 spots still available at this special price.
