On the Path... [View in Web Browser]( [Access your FREE 15-minute coaching call]( Hi {NAME}, Working with one of [my clients]( yesterday we took a look at how her negative projections about the world and her relationships was affecting her perception of what was possible for her, while causing intense inner suffering. I know about projection all too well… believe me. In fact, I had a profound dream a few weeks ago when I was in the jungle doing medicine work with my teacher. I wanted to share. In the dream I first found myself in a room with my wife and my oldest son. It seemed that my youngest son had gone missing, and I was desperate for their help, but instead of telling me where he was, they were messing with me, being deceitful and lying. In the next scene I found my oldest son in a space with a bunch of his friends. He was holding what I was certain was a pouch of tobacco, and I was mad at him for smoking. I made a big deal out of it, even threatening him, but when his friends opened up the pouch it was just candy. I was wrong. In the next scene I found myself naked in an intersection of my town, begging others around to give me their clothes. I was going crazy. Then suddenly I found myself in the living room of a halfway house, completely invalid, in a rocking chair by the window. I had gone insane and was blankly staring at the room as the patron of the house, who had custody of me, watched TV with little interest in my condition. I brought the dream to my teacher who instantly recognized what it meant for me. He told me that it was about projection. About projecting negativity onto others, believing they were being deceitful, and projecting my fears of rejection and abandonment on to them. If I continued to do so in my life (and to be honest, this dream helped me see how much I had been doing this lately), it would drive me insane, because the version of reality in my mind did not match that of reality. It was a powerful shift for me to see this. Anyhow, I thought this might inspire you to consider how you may be projecting onto others and onto the world in an unhealthy way. And as always, this is one of the many areas in which I help my clients navigate the emotional challenges of the times. If you’re interested in what that could do for you, [book a FREE 15-minute call with me](. I’d be happy to share my insight with you.
