Communication has to be a two-way street. It’s incredible how easily misunderstandings occur. I’ll bet you can think of more than one time somebody took something the wrong way… or you misunderstood what was being said to you. It can be awkward or upsetting when what came across was not what you intended… My profession is horse psychology; I teach people how to communicate with horses. We have to use body language. It is more like sign language because your energy and expression and how you move your hands play a massive part in imparting the meaning. Horses don’t use words to communicate. You can teach them to respond to word commands, but this is not communication.  Communication is an interaction, an exchange.
