Our AI-powered product tours just dropped! ð±  â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â "Be careful what you wish for" they said...remember when I mentioned it'd be cool to have a[GPT-powered "co-pilot" in the product tours?Â]( Guess what... We've just launched our [AI-powered user onboarding tours by Userpilot]( ð on Product Hunt! ð±Â ...counting on your support as usual ð [Image]( Essentially, it's chatGPT in your product tours. It can write copy for you, summarize copy that's too long to fit into a UI pattern (those tiny tooltips!), enhance existing copy, fix grammar and spelling errors (bye bye Grammarly!) and spin gazillion copy variants for your A/B tests: [Thumbnail for video]( [Watch our video summary of the new featureÂ]((we made it with AI too ð
Thanks Synthesia!) Have a look at [our launch t](o see more details, and of course - check it our in your [Userpilot]( account! (no Userpilot yet? [Grab a free trial here!]() How else can you use [AI in user onboarding?]( ð¤ We've written [a whole post]( about it lately - this AI-writing assistant in the product tours is just the very beginning. Here's what comes next for AI-powered user onboarding - think about these use cases: - Personalized Onboarding Experience: Remember that "auto segmentation" I talked about a few weeks ago? AI can be used to analyze *large volumes* of customer data, segment the customers itself (imagine that! ð¤¯) and then create in-app experiences tailored to the individual user needs' on its own! - AI-Refined Messaging: of course, you can use AI to refine clumsy/wordy copy and make it more actionable. - In-App Videos with AI-generated Avatars: the obvious: you will be able to make the onboarding process more engaging by using AI tools to create informative videos for your new users *a lot* cheaper and faster! We actually created out [PH launch video]( using AI ð
- Optimizing Customer Journey Steps: if AI can analyze large volumes of data, it will also be able to analyze each individual user's journey, their progress with learning your tool, and remove any unnecessary steps from their onboarding. - AI-Powered Chatbots: AI already is improving the quality of support with GPT chatbots trained on your help docs and knowledge bases, that provide quick, accurate responses to your inquiries. (coming soon to Userpilot ð¤) - Sentiment Analysis for Onboarding Improvement: AI tools can help you analyze customer sentiment and identify areas of friction in the onboarding process. (again, coming soon ð¤) - Predictive Analytics to Reduce Churn: Finally, AI tools can help you identify and address potential churn risks by using predictive analysis on past customer data - i.e. spotting "churn signals" in existing users based on the in-app behaviour of previously churned customers. Check out our [article]( for more inspiration on this! We're entering a new product era This takes me to a more generic point overall - while I rummaged around Product Hunt before our launch a bit to see what's up - I noticed that whole new generation of products popping up - powered by AI of course. Currently, the life of anyone using tech professionally (PMs, marketers, product designers, graphic designers...) is a hell of repetitive, low-level activities. At best, the tools of today will let you save certain "patterns of activity" as "templates" or "dashboards". But if you need something new - the hell breaks loose, you need to start again. But the tools of tomorrow are already different.  I mean, look at the [Sessions Copilot]( (that was trending on PH last week) - it's a tool that can set up your whole webinar/meeting environment in one click, based on a 1-line prompt. ð± Imagine where these prompt-based products will take us: - asking Hubspot to build you dashboards showing the ACV of customers by acquisition source/ sales rep - asking AI to build you a user onboarding flow focusing on features A and B, and trigger it only to end users in a specific plan, and then build another flow focusing on features C and D for the admin users - build landing pages for specific ad campaigns in minutes, not hours The pace of life for us has just 10xed. ð Sorry for ruining your day! Curious about what comes next? Watch my recent interview with [Nimrod Priell,]( CEO of [Cord](, Ex Facebook PM FYI: Nimrod worked as an NLP engineer back in 2007 in two startups, then, when one of the companies he worked at was acquired by Facebook, he became a PM there. During his almost 15 years at Facebook, Nimrod worked closely with the AI team called Core Data Science. So he's quite familiar with the whole field and has been following it for a while. As Nimrod said: "So if the price of sugar drops, then there would be more demand, theoretically for tea or coffee or maybe better example is the opposite. When the price for coffee drops, there's going to be less demand for its alternatives. And with AI, with sort of the cost of making predictions going down, what we should expect is a lot of demand for data, and the value is going to be in the data that drives these machines and these algorithms.â" Hope this gave you some food for thought - and again - thank you for the support with our [Product Hunt launch!]( ð¤ââ [Image] Emilia Korczynska, Head of Marketing at UserpilotÂ
