Make your gift before midnight to receive full tax benefits for 2023 and create a safer, healthier 2024 for women and girls everywhere. [USA for UNFPA]( 2023 has not been easy for women and girls globally. We began the year continuing our humanitarian response to the war in Ukraine and worsening drought in the Horn of Africa. [Somalia]( In February, devastating earthquakes rocked Syria and Türkiye. 9.1 million people were directly affected by the earthquakes and 3 million had to flee their homes. [Syria]( Civil strife escalated in Sudan — leaving roughly half its population in need of humanitarian aid and internally displaced. [Sudan]( This fall, earthquakes killed thousands and left many more displaced in Morocco and then in Afghanistan. Flooding washed away entire neighborhoods in Libya in September. [Libya]( And now, thousands of women and girls have been killed in Gaza as conflict escalates. Tens of thousands more are without access to basic hygiene supplies, food, water, and health care facilities as the humanitarian crisis worsens. [Gaza]( But thanks to generous gifts from donors like you, UNFPA has been there to deliver lifesaving care to women and girls in their darkest hour. In 2023 alone, UNFPA: - Deployed 808 mobile clinics in 36 countries - Provided 10.6 million people with sexual and reproductive health services and 4.2 million women with violence prevention services in 50 countries - Supported 3,648 health facilities in 48 countries - Distributed Dignity Kits, deployed midwives, and delivered more care, wherever help was needed most It’s not too late to make a difference. So as you make your final year-end donations, we’re asking you to deliver the gift of lifesaving care to women and girls around the world: [Will you make a gift before midnight to continue reaching women and girls with lifesaving care and services?
