UNFPA has supported more than half of all births in Gaza since conflict erupted. [USA for UNFPA]( Amidst a humanitarian crisis that has left Gaza’s healthcare system in total collapse, humanitarian gifts have offered a glimmer of hope for mothers and babies. [A newborn baby in a hospital in Gaza]( “The reproductive health kits play a major role in ensuring the safety of women,” says Dr. Khawla. “The kits contain many essential items which were in severe shortage. When we have a shortage, it limits the number of operations that can be performed. When kits like these are available, it’s feasible for a doctor to make urgent decisions when treating women. These kits contain all lifesaving requirements for women.” [UNFPA medicines and equipment in Gaza]( UNFPA has supported more than half of all births in Gaza since conflict erupted last October, thanks to critical support from generous donors which has helped deliver vitally-needed medical supplies including our reproductive health kits. But supplies remain scarce and demands are increasing. Many hospitals, like the one Dr. Khawla operated in, have been destroyed. All of this means that women and girls are counting on your support now more than ever for much needed aid. [Will you make your first gift to deliver lifesaving care and supplies to mothers, newborns, and all those in need in Gaza and beyond?]( [DELIVER LIFESAVING CARE]( The suffering must end and peace must prevail. We condemn the violence in Gaza, the West Bank, and Israel, including all sexual violence, and echo the UN Secretary-General’s call for a sustained humanitarian ceasefire and the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages by Hamas. Thank you for being there for women and girls. — USA for UNFPA [usaforunfpa.org]( | info@usaforunfpa.org | [Privacy Policy]( SENT BY USA FOR UNFPA: THE UN SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH AGENCY What does UNFPA stand for?
