The film, premiering Wednesday, was shot entirely inside VRChat during the pandemic and follows an American Sign Language teacher, a belly dancing teacher, a young couple, and more for a wild and immersive documentary that shows the future of social engagement in heartfelt ways. (You might cry!) With its focus on the human experience of these communities, it’s a total trip. Original Sin follows a new group of teen girls being terrorized by an anonymous person seeking revenge for sins committed by their parents two decades earlier. Uh oh! The dramedy follows a married couple (played by William Jackson Harper and Cristin Milioti) trying to get their groove back by going on vacation at an idyllic resort in Mexico. But it's never that easy, and they soon find themselves wrapped up in an unsolved mystery that occurred 15 years earlier. Skyler Gisondo (The Righteous Gemstones) co-stars in this, which thrills me.
