Stop browsing, start watching! The best TV shows and movies to watch on every screen sDm23OHNm:m:1:2364960064:F64DED0F39AFCAC65781C2AA0A922F74:r Hi! It seems I am moving to Londontown! British transportation law [is being amended to allow “drivers” of self-driving cars to watch TV while the car drives itself](sDm23OHNm:m:1:2364960064:F64DED0F39AFCAC65781C2AA0A922F74:r). That means that boring drive to your sister-in-law’s could actually be a great time to catch up on The Handmaid’s Tale. Your commute to work is no longer an excruciating ride to a dead-end job, it’s “me time” to watch Severance. You could be in a literal drag race while watching Drag Race. And then hopefully the ambulance that takes you to the hospital after your self-driving car malfunctions is showing episodes of ER. Here’s what to watch this week. -Tim [Your Watch This Now! newsletter is created by Senior Recommendations and Reviews Editor Tim Surette and more show-obsessed editors at TV Guide!](sDm23OHNm:m:1:2364960064:F64DED0F39AFCAC65781C2AA0A922F74:r) sDm23OHNm:m:1:2364960064:F64DED0F39AFCAC65781C2AA0A922F74:r SERIES PREMIERE MONDAY AT 9/8C ON HBO, HBO MAX [We Own This City is a return to Baltimore from the creators of The Wire](sDm23OHNm:m:1:2364960064:F64DED0F39AFCAC65781C2AA0A922F74:r) You probably don't need us to tell you how good The Wire is, but you might need us to tell you that David Simon, the guy who made The Wire, has a new show coming out. He's going back to Baltimore for this limited series, which is based on the true story of the rise and fall of the Baltimore Police Department's Gun Trace Task Force, exposing the corruption going on under the surface (which is a theme that should sound very familiar to anyone who's seen The Wire). Jon Bernthal, Jamie Hector, and Josh Charles star. -Allison Picurro sDm23OHNm:m:1:2364960064:F64DED0F39AFCAC65781C2AA0A922F74:r SERIES PREMIERES THURSDAY ON PARAMOUNT+ [The Offer: How can you refuse an ensemble dramedy about the making of The Godfather?](sDm23OHNm:m:1:2364960064:F64DED0F39AFCAC65781C2AA0A922F74:r) The Godfather, a little movie directed by up-and-coming filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola, turns 50 this year. There's been a lot of fanfare surrounding its birthday (I recently went to a packed screening of it at my local AMC, for example, and also there was that moment at the Oscars no one really focused on), making the release of The Offer perfectly timed. The Offer is neither a reboot nor a remake of the original movie (thankfully), but a dramatization of how The Godfather got made, which was famously a very difficult and dramatic process. The series is based on computer programmer-turned-producer Albert Ruddy's account of how it all went down, and it stars Miles Teller, Colin Hanks, Matthew Goode, and Juno Temple. It might be a little long, but the fun ensemble cast makes it an enjoyable ride, [as Keith Phipps says in his review](sDm23OHNm:m:1:2364960064:F64DED0F39AFCAC65781C2AA0A922F74:r). -Allison Picurro sDm23OHNm:m:1:2364960064:F64DED0F39AFCAC65781C2AA0A922F74:r SERIES PREMIERES THURSDAY ON HULU [Under the Banner of Heaven is being hailed as one of the best crime dramas of the year](sDm23OHNm:m:1:2364960064:F64DED0F39AFCAC65781C2AA0A922F74:r) Andrew Garfield stars in this true crime scripted limited series adapted from John Krakauer's 2003 book that looks at the 1984 murder of a woman (played by Daisy Edgar-Jones) and her baby daughter in suburban Utah. As Garfield's detective gets closer to the truth and the involvement of the Church of LDS, his Mormon faith begins to erode. Yep, it sounds horrifying (and parts are), but there’s a nice balancing act with empathy and forces of good thrown in. Episodes of the FX series will be released exclusively on Hulu. sDm23OHNm:m:1:2364960064:F64DED0F39AFCAC65781C2AA0A922F74:r sDm23OHNm:m:1:2364960064:F64DED0F39AFCAC65781C2AA0A922F74:r sDm23OHNm:m:1:2364960064:F64DED0F39AFCAC65781C2AA0A922F74:r sDm23OHNm:m:1:2364960064:F64DED0F39AFCAC65781C2AA0A922F74:r SEASON 2 PREMIERES THURSDAY ON HBO MAX [Made for Love is a twisted cross-section of tech and love](sDm23OHNm:m:1:2364960064:F64DED0F39AFCAC65781C2AA0A922F74:r) Tech billionaires get whatever they want. Megayachts, kids with weird names, a Lord of the Rings show, Twitter… the list goes on and on. But can money buy them true love? The tech billionaire in HBO Max’s Black Mirror-esque Made for Love, played with lovable insanity by the fantastic Billy Magnussen, sure thinks so. He created a chip that couples implant in their brains to create absolute unity between the two, but is it really just a tracking device to keep his fiancée (Cristin Milioti, in another great performance) on a leash? Milioti owns the show as a woman trying to escape her prison, but in Season 2 it’s even harder since her hubby-to-be is the only one who can cure her father’s (Ray Romano) cancer. Plus, there’s a sex doll and a dolphin who play major characters. Yeah, it’s an odd one, but it’s fun. Two episodes will be released weekly. sDm23OHNm:m:1:2364960064:F64DED0F39AFCAC65781C2AA0A922F74:r TIME KEEPS ON SLIPPIN’ [More shows like Russian Doll](sDm23OHNm:m:1:2364960064:F64DED0F39AFCAC65781C2AA0A922F74:r) You spent the end of last week tearing through Natasha Lyonne’s second season of Russian Doll (that must be [why it’s fallen off the Netflix Top 10](sDm23OHNm:m:1:2364960064:F64DED0F39AFCAC65781C2AA0A922F74:r), right?) and now you’re looking for more head-spinning (but not TOO head-spinning!) shows featuring time loops, time travel, and hopefully some light humor. [We’ve put together a list of shows to watch next if you like Russian Doll](sDm23OHNm:m:1:2364960064:F64DED0F39AFCAC65781C2AA0A922F74:r). sDm23OHNm:m:1:2364960064:F64DED0F39AFCAC65781C2AA0A922F74:r sDm23OHNm:m:1:2364960064:F64DED0F39AFCAC65781C2AA0A922F74:r sDm23OHNm:m:1:2364960064:F64DED0F39AFCAC65781C2AA0A922F74:r sDm23OHNm:m:1:2364960064:F64DED0F39AFCAC65781C2AA0A922F74:r sDm23OHNm:m:1:2364960064:F64DED0F39AFCAC65781C2AA0A922F74:r sDm23OHNm:m:1:2364960064:F64DED0F39AFCAC65781C2AA0A922F74:r sDm23OHNm:m:1:2364960064:F64DED0F39AFCAC65781C2AA0A922F74:r [Unsubscribe](sDm23OHNm:m:1:2364960064:F64DED0F39AFCAC65781C2AA0A922F74:r:) | [View online]( © 2022 TV Guide, A Red Ventures company. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
