Looking at the opioid crisis over multiple timelines — from the development of the pain reliever, to Purdue Pharmaceuticals’ disgusting push for it to become the biggest drug in America despite knowing it was addictive, to the DEA and Justice Department’s investigation into Purdue — Dopesick will make you seethe with anger at how profits were put over public health.
