The Emmys were last night, [and they were totally fine as far as obsolete awards shows go](s9dwsgdjN:m:1:2364960064:EB621FA2B0DBBFB8EEC94947484ADA56:r)! (There’s so much wonderful TV out there that some group of strangers is going to tell ME what the best show is? I don’t think so.) I know critics are lambasting it for being not being exciting enough, for shows taking home too many awards while others were shut out (looking at you, The Crown), and for skits being too dumb (which they were, almost astonishingly), but let’s address the real problem here: Awards show speech time limits! Every time a winner got on stage, I got anxious waiting for the strings of “Con Te Partiro/A Time to Say Goodbye” (hilarious choice, by the way) to come in, and would scream at my TV for the speakers to hurry up before things got awkward. The last thing we need to be reminded of when watching a supposed celebration of the art form is that this is a business and time is money. Join me in abolishing the speech time limit! Someone start a petition.org thingy. Here are this week’s TV picks. -Tim [Your Watch This Now! newsletter is created by Senior Recommendations and Reviews Editor Tim Surette and more show-obsessed editors at TV Guide!](s9dwsgdjN:m:1:2364960064:EB621FA2B0DBBFB8EEC94947484ADA56:r) s9dwsgdjN:m:1:2364960064:EB621FA2B0DBBFB8EEC94947484ADA56:r ARE THREE JAMES WOLKS BETTER THAN ONE? [Which of the new fall shows are worth watching?](s9dwsgdjN:m:1:2364960064:EB621FA2B0DBBFB8EEC94947484ADA56:r) Today marks the beginning of the 2021-2022 fall season for the big broadcast networks -- ABC, CBS, The CW, Fox, NBC -- and while you’re all certainly aware of the returning favorites like This Is Us, the Chicago shows, and more, what about the new series? Have you seen the ad for NBC’s new Sliding Doors drama Ordinary Joe? Sure, it looks totally wild, but is it any good? [We watched the new fall shows to separate the good from the bad so you don’t have to waste your time](s9dwsgdjN:m:1:2364960064:EB621FA2B0DBBFB8EEC94947484ADA56:r). A quick summary: Your old favorites aren’t under any threat. s9dwsgdjN:m:1:2364960064:EB621FA2B0DBBFB8EEC94947484ADA56:r SEASON 4 PREMIERES WEDNESDAY ON NETFLIX [Dear White People, the Netflix comedy is a musical now](s9dwsgdjN:m:1:2364960064:EB621FA2B0DBBFB8EEC94947484ADA56:r) Netflix's daring comedy is back for one last semester, and although the wait has been excruciatingly long, it's going out with a bang. The final season is 100% times more musical, with the students of Winchester deciding to put on a variety show that celebrates Black culture. There are performances of songs we already know, like Montell Jordan's '90s classic "This Is How We Do It," and big showy dance numbers, and also the inevitable moments where all the characters have to reckon with the fact that they're about to be thrust into the world of adulthood. -Allison Picurro s9dwsgdjN:m:1:2364960064:EB621FA2B0DBBFB8EEC94947484ADA56:r NOW ON AMAZON PRIME VIDEO [Eat the LuLaRich](s9dwsgdjN:m:1:2364960064:EB621FA2B0DBBFB8EEC94947484ADA56:r) This docuseries came out last week, but it’s worth putting on your radar as the buzz grows. The four-part series details the rise and fall of LuLaRoe, a multi-level marketing scheme that sold leggings online and took over the Facebooks of white stay-at-home moms all over the country over the last decade. Early adopters were making somewhere in the neighborhood of $50,000 per month as the company vaulted past a $1 billion evaluation before things started to go bad. Very bad. What makes this series extraordinary is that it has interviews with the company’s clueless (but incredibly wealthy) founders, who deny it was a pyramid scheme even though it very clearly was. s9dwsgdjN:m:1:2364960064:EB621FA2B0DBBFB8EEC94947484ADA56:r
