I know critics are lambasting it for being not being exciting enough, for shows taking home too many awards while others were shut out (looking at you, The Crown), and for skits being too dumb (which they were, almost astonishingly), but let’s address the real problem here: Awards show speech time limits! Every time a winner got on stage, I got anxious waiting for the strings of “Con Te Partiro/A Time to Say Goodbye” (hilarious choice, by the way) to come in, and would scream at my TV for the speakers to hurry up before things got awkward. The last thing we need to be reminded of when watching a supposed celebration of the art form is that this is a business and time is money. Join me in abolishing the speech time limit! The four-part series details the rise and fall of LuLaRoe, a multi-level marketing scheme that sold leggings online and took over the Facebooks of white stay-at-home moms all over the country over the last decade. Early adopters were making somewhere in the neighborhood of $50,000 per month as the company vaulted past a $1 billion evaluation before things started to go bad. Very bad.
