Stop browsing, start watching! The best TV shows and movies to watch on every screen WMj7xOdN4:m:1:2364960064:91A0B5FD4274EB07625D8524603D7918:r Hi! Here’s the only news you need to know today. Succession’s third season has a premiere date: Oct. 17. That’s it! Tell your boss you’re off on Oct. 18 because of a doctor’s appointment or your grandma’s graduation or whatever. Get the details and more with [Everything We Know About Succession Season 3](WMj7xOdN4:m:1:2364960064:91A0B5FD4274EB07625D8524603D7918:r). -Tim [Your Watch This Now! newsletter is created by Senior Recommendations and Reviews Editor Tim Surette and more show-obsessed editors at TV Guide!](WMj7xOdN4:m:1:2364960064:91A0B5FD4274EB07625D8524603D7918:r) WMj7xOdN4:m:1:2364960064:91A0B5FD4274EB07625D8524603D7918:r SERIES PREMIERE MONDAY ON HULU [Y: The Last Man finally makes it to the screen](WMj7xOdN4:m:1:2364960064:91A0B5FD4274EB07625D8524603D7918:r) An adaptation of the Y: The Last Man comics has been in the works since 2007 and gone through every level of development hell there is, but it finally arrives via FX on Hulu with three episodes on Monday. The setting is eerie: Anyone and anything with a Y chromosome (that is, biological males of the species) mysteriously die off, except for one guy and his pet monkey. That leaves a near-apocalyptic wasteland ruled mostly by women with various motivations, and a society that somehow still isn't too far from our own today. While reviews overall are mixed, [Keith Phipps writes in his review that he is hopeful for the series despite its deliberate pacing](WMj7xOdN4:m:1:2364960064:91A0B5FD4274EB07625D8524603D7918:r). New episodes will air weekly. WMj7xOdN4:m:1:2364960064:91A0B5FD4274EB07625D8524603D7918:r SERIES FINALE THURSDAY AT 8/7C ON NBC [Brooklyn Nine-Nine walks its last beat](WMj7xOdN4:m:1:2364960064:91A0B5FD4274EB07625D8524603D7918:r) Suit up for one last ride with the Nine-Nine. Brooklyn Nine-Nine's final season has already shaken up the squad: Rosa (Stephanie Beatriz) resigned, Jake (Andy Samberg) was suspended, and Holt (Andre Braugher) and Amy (Melissa Fumero) are rising through the ranks to work on police reform. Details about the hourlong series finale are locked up tighter than Holt's lower back tattoo — all we know is that it's titled "The Last Day" — but it's safe to assume more changes are on the way. What hurts the most is knowing we might never see Cheddar the dog again. Cool cool cool cool cool cool cool. -Kelly Connolly WMj7xOdN4:m:1:2364960064:91A0B5FD4274EB07625D8524603D7918:r WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY ON PEACOCK [Whoa, there’s stuff on Peacock?](WMj7xOdN4:m:1:2364960064:91A0B5FD4274EB07625D8524603D7918:r) NBCUniversal/Comcast’s streaming service got out of the gates slowly, but this week there will be something to watch on Peacock other than The Office, for a change. On Wednesday, James McAvoy stars in the film My Son, a thriller about a man looking for his missing child. The gimmick here is that McAvoy was never given a script and improvises the entire movie. The latest Dan Brown page-to-screen adaptation, The Lost Symbol, comes out on Thursday and stars Ashley Zukerman as a young Robert Langdon, Brown’s famous symbologist who was featured in The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons. And finally, also on Thursday, Peacock gets into the home renovation biz with Backyard Blowout, in which kids get to design the backyard. Yikes! I’m not saying any of these will be good, but — along with other recent new releases — it appears Peacock is finally starting to make some moves with original programming. Novak goes back to writing for TV with the anthology The Premise, which premieres Thursday. The half-hour series tackles big subjects (gun control, celebrity, etc.) with eccentric, dark humor — one of the episodes is called “Butt Plug” — but the results vary widely, which sadly makes it forgettable despite its big swings. [Fortunately, there are other good options on Hulu this month, which we’ve rounded up for you](WMj7xOdN4:m:1:2364960064:91A0B5FD4274EB07625D8524603D7918:r). = WMj7xOdN4:m:1:2364960064:91A0B5FD4274EB07625D8524603D7918:r WMj7xOdN4:m:1:2364960064:91A0B5FD4274EB07625D8524603D7918:r WMj7xOdN4:m:1:2364960064:91A0B5FD4274EB07625D8524603D7918:r WMj7xOdN4:m:1:2364960064:91A0B5FD4274EB07625D8524603D7918:r WMj7xOdN4:m:1:2364960064:91A0B5FD4274EB07625D8524603D7918:r WMj7xOdN4:m:1:2364960064:91A0B5FD4274EB07625D8524603D7918:r WMj7xOdN4:m:1:2364960064:91A0B5FD4274EB07625D8524603D7918:r [Unsubscribe](WMj7xOdN4:m:1:2364960064:91A0B5FD4274EB07625D8524603D7918:r:) | [View online]( © 2021 TV Guide, A Red Ventures company. Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
