With the [new website Nestflix](WZDY7_dzN:m:1:2364960064:90F363E56DCF5E97A276CF5CB27AB521:r), the internet is complete. The site is trying to catalog every fictional “show or movie within a show” in a Netflix-style layout because… well, why not? It’s the perfect reference point for fake television, and it’s surprisingly deep. 30 Rock’s MILF Island? It’s there. Futurama’s All My Circuits? Yep. Rick & Morty’s never-ending barrage of multiverse television series? Them too. (I’m still waiting for [Mr. Show’s Coupon: The Movie](WZDY7_dzN:m:1:2364960064:90F363E56DCF5E97A276CF5CB27AB521:r).) Go ahead and dive in, but be warned: You’ll probably spend the rest of the afternoon there. Here are our picks for the week. -Tim [Your Watch This Now! newsletter is created by Senior Recommendations and Reviews Editor Tim Surette and more show-obsessed editors at TV Guide!](WZDY7_dzN:m:1:2364960064:90F363E56DCF5E97A276CF5CB27AB521:r) WZDY7_dzN:m:1:2364960064:90F363E56DCF5E97A276CF5CB27AB521:r SEASON 7 PREMIERES AT 8/7C on ABC, TUESDAY ON HULU [Bachelor in Paradise is a psychological experiment in cruelty (and I can’t wait)](WZDY7_dzN:m:1:2364960064:90F363E56DCF5E97A276CF5CB27AB521:r) The Bachelor and The Bachelorette were never actually great television, but even the pleasure of the guilty pleasure has lost its luster, particularly in recent seasons, because of controversy, COVID, and boredom. I haven’t watched either of them in years, but that won’t stop me from watching the best show in the franchise, Bachelor in Paradise, which rounds up desperate rejects from the series and gives them another shot at becoming a star (and, a miracle permitting, finding love) in a sun-splashed locale. The real draw here is the production of the series, which turns the Mexican resort into a psychological torture chamber as participants are shoehorned together into couples only to be ripped asunder by the arrival of strategically picked new contestants in a revolving door of physical attraction and emotional torment. This is cathartic cruelty made palatable by the fact that they all willingly signed up for it. WZDY7_dzN:m:1:2364960064:90F363E56DCF5E97A276CF5CB27AB521:r SEASON 2 PREMIERES WEDNESDAY AT 10/9C ON COMEDY CENTRAL [Awkwafina Is Nora From Queens is funnier than ever](WZDY7_dzN:m:1:2364960064:90F363E56DCF5E97A276CF5CB27AB521:r) Awkwafina’s post-college, pre-adulting series scented with whiffs of bong smoke returns for a second season after a criminally underrated first, continuing Nora’s hustle to survive from one day to the next by doing the least amount of work humanly possible while slowly realizing that the world is moving past her. Nora’s getting older, but not more mature! In addition to being one of the funniest looks at millennial malaise since Broad City, Nora features TV’s greatest tri-generational combo in Awkwafina as Nora, B.D. Wong as Nora’s father, and the irrepressible Lori Tan Chinn as Nora’s K-drama loving grandmother, all of whom smash Asian stereotypes into fine dust. Season 2 takes things to even more absurd-yet-sharp heights, with this week’s two-episode premiere featuring dream sequences and time travel. WZDY7_dzN:m:1:2364960064:90F363E56DCF5E97A276CF5CB27AB521:r SERiES PREMIERE WEDNESDAY ON HULU [Nine Perfect Strangers is an imperfect White Lotus follow-up](WZDY7_dzN:m:1:2364960064:90F363E56DCF5E97A276CF5CB27AB521:r) So you just finished HBO’s excellent The White Lotus and want more, more, more. Well, you’re getting Nine Perfect Strangers, another single-location drama featuring well-to-do people flocking to a resort with eye-popping views, only this one is a wellness retreat run by a potential maniac swindler played by Nicole Kidman. She teams up once again with mega-producer David E. Kelley to adapt another Liane Moriarty novel (it worked for Big Little Lies!) with an A-list cast featuring Melissa McCarthy, Michael Shannon, Bobby Cannavale, and more. But The White Lotus this is not, and underneath the shiny veneer of the setting and the actors — both of which still make it somewhat watchable — is a shallower series about the wellness industry and our messed-up lives that probably wishes it came out well before Mike White’s miniseries. Three episodes premiere Wednesday, with new episodes coming weekly. WZDY7_dzN:m:1:2364960064:90F363E56DCF5E97A276CF5CB27AB521:r
