A true crime series that’s a must-see for fans who demand the truth, Disney takes over ABC?

A true crime series that’s a must-see for fans who demand the truth, Disney takes over ABC’s biggest reality show for a magical mash-up, and shows that all fans of teen dystopias should watch. Hello! Happy Forkin’ Monday, beaches! The fourth and final season of The Good Place recently hit Netflix, making it a good weekend for fans of philosophical oddball comedy. One of my all-time favorite episodes of the show — Season 2’s “Dance Dance Resolution” — holds a dear place in my heart not because of the many revelations of Michael’s reboots, but because of a simple stroll through the Good Place’s city square, featuring a bombardment of food-based punnery and wordplay courtesy of writer Megan Amram. Here are my three favorites: Knish from a Rose, You Do the Hokey Gnocchi and You Get Yourself Some Food, and Chicken Soup for the Mouth. There’s something so simplistic about that last one as a counterpunch to the self-help empire it’s taken from that it’s always going to be pure gold to me. Anyway, [The Good Place has naturally rocketed up into Netflix’s Top 10, which we’re closely following by advising you on what’s actually worth watching from it](. Is Ratched really deserving of the top spot? We’re not convinced. Here are today’s TV picks. -Tim [Your Watch This Now! newsletter is created by Senior Recommendations and Reviews Editor Tim Surette and more show-obsessed editors at TV Guide!]( [Dancing with the Stars]( Monday at 8/7c on ABC [Dancing with the Stars goes dizzy with Disney]( Corporate synergy never tasted so good as it does when ABC’s Dancing with the Stars collides with its parent company, Disney, each season. The two already do shmaltz so well on their own, that when they do it together it’s a boilover of excessive sentimentality and princess tiaras. And really, can’t we all use a little of that right now? The song selection seems better than usual, too, with The Little Mermaid’s “Part of Your World,” Moana’s “How Far I’ll Go,” and Mary Poppins’ “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” on the playlist. And yes, big cat lover Carole Baskin will dance to The Lion King’s “Circle of Life.” Will she hold up a tiger cub at the end? She had better, or else why is she even on this show? [A Wilderness of Error]( Now on Hulu [Get lost in a Wilderness of Error]( There are a lot of recent true crime shows out there to watch right now – Showtime’s Love Fraud, HBO’s I’ll Be Gone in the Dark, Netflix’s Unsolved Mysteries — what’s one more to add to your plate? FX’s A Wilderness of Error is a partial adaptation of Errol Morris’ book, with director Marc Smerling (The Jinx) reinvestigating the famous case of army sergeant Jeffrey MacDonald, who was accused of killing his family in 1970. But it’s also, on a smaller scale, an investigation of Morris, as Smerling playfully turns the camera on the well-respected documentarian (even as he mimics Morris’ style of filmmaking), giving the series a different spin than others. The case itself is wrapped up in so many inconsistencies — MacDonald is still fighting to appeal the ruling from prison — that Morris and Smerling [don’t even agree on what the truth is](. Three episodes are now streaming on Hulu, with the final two airing next Friday on FX and on Hulu the next day. [South Park]( Coming soon [This week is loaded with great television]( South Park returns with a new season this week, and for the first time in its run, the raunchy comedy is airing an hourlong episode because 30 minutes simply isn’t enough time to cover everything that’s happened since last season. It’s also a great week for documentaries. [Here are our picks for the best shows of the week](. SPONSORED [Get the entertainment you want, without cable.]( Looking for something new?
