ABC is giving you your best opportunity to go to a music festival anytime soon, a Scottish thriller examines class and privilege through surrogacy, and a Hulu film amplifies your worst pandemic fears in a seafaring sci-fi horror. Hello! Hey kiddos, it’s time to respect your elders. The pandemic has left us with plenty of time to plow through our Netflix queues, but rather than watch another new teen series about the apocalypse, why not check out the greats of the past? TV Guide will show you where to point your remote to find the best television of the last several decades with [the launch of TV Throwback]( in which we look at the best shows of the ‘70s, ‘80s, ‘90s, 2000s, and 2010s. Things kick off today with a look at the 1970s, including a [recommendations list of the best shows of the decade and where to stream them]( an [essay on the impact sitcoms of the era had on today’s shows]( and an article on [why The Mary Tyler Moore Show was ahead of its time](. Take a look at those, and come back here for today’s TV picks. -Tim [Your Watch This Now! newsletter is created by Senior Recommendations and Reviews Editor Tim Surette and more show-obsessed editors at TV Guide!]( WATCH THIS NOW! [I May Destroy You]( [I May Destroy You goes old school]( Monday at 10/9c on HBO Michaela Coel’s I May Destroy You remains [one of the best new shows of the year]( as it hits its midway point, and tonight’s episode shows exactly why. “The Alliance” is primarily a flashback episode that revisits Arabella’s high school years and introduces another facet to the sexual assault story that I May Destroy You is exploring from every conceivable angle. Race and truth are discussed, which both affect Arabella’s arc over the next few episodes, and the early 2000s time period shows how camera phones altered teen behavior in all the wrong ways (and also allows for a soundtrack of lost U.K. garage classics). If you somehow backed out of the series after the first two episodes, tonight’s episode is a great chance to get back in. [SHOP NOW]( A NIGHT OUT, BUT IN [Best of CMA Fest]( [Get your country on with CMA Best of Fest]( Monday at 8/7c on ABC Hard truth: You probably won’t be able to go to a concert, let alone a music festival, for at least another year or so, unless our current plan of pretending like the coronavirus doesn’t exist works a miracle and we’re cleared to gather outside of our germ circles. But you can still hold up a lighter in your living room tonight while watching this three-hour “concert experience” featuring select performances from the CMA Fest over the years. There will be new performances from Luke Bryan, who also hosts the event, as well as past performances from Miranda Lambert, Trace Adkins, Lil Nas X (I wonder which song he’ll perform!?!?), Carrie Underwood, and essentially anyone else who regularly wears a cowboy hat. Plus, there should be no lines for the bathroom. A DUN-DUN-DUN in the oven [The Nest]( [The Nest houses a twisty thriller about surrogacy and privilege]( Series premiere now on Acorn TV This five-part miniseries from BBC One already aired in the U.K., where it became the network’s highest-rated drama of the year so far, but it heads to Acorn TV today so Americans can see what all the fuss is about. Nicole Taylor (who penned the previous WTN recommendation Wild Rose) wrote the series, which follows a wealthy couple (Line of Duty’s Martin Compston and Peaky Blinders’ Sophie Rundle) in Glasgow trying to have a baby through surrogacy when the wife has a literal run-in with a teen who agrees to carry a child for them. Questions abound about why the girl is so eager to have their baby and what has happened in her past, but after a premiere that seems fairly generic, The Nest progresses into a smart thesis on wealth, class, and privilege. Two episodes are available today, with new ones arriving weekly. MAL DE MER [Sea Fever]( [Sea Fever is ocean-bound pandemic horror that takes you into the abyss]( Now on Hulu The debate between scientific facts and personal fear that’s surging through the country right now plays out in this Irish indie sci-fi horror film about the crew of a fishing boat that becomes awash in trouble when it encounters an unknown sea creature with parasitic capabilities. As the crew becomes infected one by one, a researcher on board stresses self-isolation while the crew desperately wants to boat directly into the next hospital, possibly putting the mainland at risk. Think The Thing meets The Abyss with oodles of claustrophobia. When the film, which just arrived on Hulu, was being made, it was a taut, paranoid thriller; now it’s a scarier reflection of what we’re going through and a solid argument for social distancing (and never getting on a boat again).
