Itâs a big night of comedy finales, plus the writers and cast of beloved sitcom Parks and Recreation reunite for a special Zoom-based quarantine episode to raise money for charity.
Hello!
Boy, April went by weirdly fast, didn’t it? March felt like a year, and April felt like one very long day. It’s the last of the month, which means a lot of stuff is [expiring from Netflix]( tonight. It’s your last chance to watch some very rewatchable movies, like Space Jam, The Shawshank Redemption, and The Talented Mr. Ripley, among many more. I’m going to watch Dirty Harry, because I’ve never seen it and it’s rarely available on streaming services and I don’t know when, where, or if it will be back again. It’s gonna make my day. If you don’t feel like watching a movie, here are tonight’s TV picks. -[Liam](

[The Parks and Recreation Dept. has reopened](
Thursday at 8:30/7:30c on NBC
Parks and Recreation, the beloved comedy series that ended in 2015, is coming back with one new episode, sort of. It’s an episode of the show, written by the writers and performed by the cast, but everybody is at home, doing their parts over Zoom. The teaser says that “everyone” will be back, but I will be shocked (and delighted!) if they bring back Paul Schneider. It turns out Mark Brendanawicz has been in quarantine this whole time, and that’s why nobody saw or heard from him after Season 2! The episode is being staged to raise money for [Feeding America]( a charity on the frontlines providing relief for people affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and associated economic shutdown. Before the episode at 8/7c, NBC will air a Paley Center tribute to Parks.

Season 4 finale Thursday at 10/9c on FX
Pamela Adlon’s brilliant comedy series ends another excellent season with an episode she finished on an iPad in her kitchen after coronavirus forced a shutdown before post-production was complete. The episode will find Adlon’s Sam trying to put her negative feelings about her ex-husband Xander (Matthew Glave) behind her, because holding onto resentments is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die.

Season 3 finale Thursday at 8/7c on CBS
The Big Bang Theory spin-off wraps up its third season (an episode early; damn you, coronavirus!) with an episode that finds Lil’ Sheldy facing a big decision. He gets a recruiting letter from Caltech, the prestigious higher learning institution in California, but his mother doesn’t want him to go. She is understandably afraid for her boy. But this could be the best opportunity Sheldon ever gets. We know from The Big Bang Theory what her choice will be, but life is about the journey, not the destination.

Season 8 finale Thursday at 8/7c on Fox
In the season finale of Last Man Standing -- again, this episode wasn’t supposed to be the season finale, but it had to be -- youngest Baxter daughter Eve (Kaitlyn Dever) returns home for a visit, and everyone in the family is competing for her attention. Dever’s career has blown up since she switched from regular to recurring on Last Man Standing, starring in the acclaimed movie Booksmart and limited series Unbelievable. But she’s still down to throw some zingers back and forth with her TV dad, Tim Allen, who [told us all about]( what’s happening in the episode.
