Sally Rooney’s Normal People gets the adaptation treatment and Netflix’s latest cooking show will make you drool, while What We Do in the Shadows takes on curses and Gordon Ramsay takes over another Fox show Hello! The big TV news of the day is that Borgen, the Danish political drama that became one of the first true international or global TV series, [is finally coming to Netflix later this year]( with a new season planned for 2022. The show, which originally aired from 2010-2013, followed a politician’s journey to becoming the first female prime minister of Denmark, and, along with The Killing and The Bridge, helped to propel Denmark to the top of the TV stage and revolutionize the medium at the same time. Even though there’s no specific premiere date set yet, this is exciting news for everyone involved, but especially for those who have yet to see the show for themselves. Until then, here are tonight’s picks. -Kaitlin [Your Watch This Now! newsletter is created by Senior Recommendations and Reviews Editor Tim Surette and more show-obsessed editors at TV Guide!]( WATCH THIS NOW [Woman Reading]( [Normal People will break your heart, but in a good way]( Now on Hulu Sally Rooney's best-selling novel Normal People, which chronicles a tender but complicated romance between two Irish teens from the end of high school through their college years, is [faithfully and beautifully adapted for television]( in this Hulu limited series. Daisy Edgar-Jones and Paul Mescal star as Marianne and Connell, two teens whose upbringings couldn't be more different but whose deep connection leads to an intense, all-consuming romance. Fluctuating power dynamics eventually put a strain on their relationship, as issues of class, privilege, submission, and emotional scarring compound an inability to communicate, leading to periods of friendship and intimacy giving way to months of no contact. The show, which is directed by Lenny Abrahamson and Hettie Macdonald, drops all 12 30-minute episodes today, and is a surprisingly honest look at young love and heartbreak. Also, there's lots of skin. I mean lots. I just felt like I should say that... up front. [Sign Up]( FEED ME [You should find time for Nadiya’s Time to Eat]( Now on Netflix Netflix is at the center of a new wave of food-centric programming, and it has added yet another series that is likely to be devoured in one sitting. Nadiya’s Time to Eat stars The Great British Bake Off winner Nadiya Hussain as she shows viewers how to make easy but delicious recipes that cut corners so you can spend less time in the kitchen and more time doing whatever else you want, whether that’s playing with your kids or watching other Netflix programs. This is a judgment-free zone! Think of it as Netflix’s answer to Semi-Homemade Cooking with Sandra Lee but with time hacks. THE FINAL COUNTDOWN [I hope you’re ready for two hours of The Masked Singer]( Wednesday at 8/7c on Fox I don’t know if it’s because March felt like it lasted six years, but it feels like the current season of The Masked Singer has been airing non-stop for at least five of those six years. And it’s only getting more insane as it goes. In the first hour of tonight’s costumed competition, the final six celebs will take the stage in front of perhaps the scariest guest panelist the Fox show has seen yet: Gordon Ramsay. TBH, that sounds like a... nightmare. In the second half of the two-hour special, the hilariously titled “After the Mask: The Battle of the Sixes: The Final 6,” host Nick Cannon will be joined virtually by Ramsay, Gronk, Sherri Shepherd, Donnie Wahlberg, Jenny McCarthy, and Ken Jeong to break down the night’s best moments, play games, and give impromptu musical performances. Hey, Fox has gotta fill airtime somehow. SLAYERFEST ‘20 [What We Do in the Shadows takes on Bloody Mary]( Wednesday at 10/9c on FX I know what you’re thinking: Didn’t we just recommend What We Do in the Shadows in the newsletter? And the answer is yes, but we really want you to watch this FX comedy about a trio of vampires and their human familiar living on Staten Island because it’s one of the best shows currently on TV. In tonight’s fang-tastic episode, Guillermo ([the MVP of this season]( attempts to infiltrate and take down a local group of vampire hunters who have discovered where Nandor, Nadja, and Laszlo live. But at the same time, the vamps have fallen victim to an email chain letter cursing them and promising certain death if they don’t forward it to 10 people. While I don’t know how long the show can continue to milk “vampires don’t understand modern technology” for chuckles, the truth is, this latest example is the only thing to make me laugh out loud this week. Seriously, watch this show if you haven’t already. [Unsubscribe]( | [View online]( ©2020 CBS Interactive | All Rights Reserved. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
