The conclusion to The Clone Wars kicks off with a bad batch of clones, Supergirl celebrates its 100th episode, Fresh Off the Boat says goodbye, and The Walking Dead returns with a truly horrifying midseason premiere.
Hello!
The Blacklist won’t be back on our TV screens [for about another month]( when it returns with back-to-back adventures, but the months-long wait between episodes has been quite good for James Spader’s Red Reddington! [NBC has renewed the series for Season 8]( news that came right as the show was celebrating the filming of its 150th episode, thus proving that Red is a wily, unstoppable force of nature who will almost certainly outlive us all. Until then, here are this weekend’s picks. – [Kaitlin](

[Gentefied examines gentrification in Los Angeles](
Season 1 now on Netflix
Netflix's new series Gentefied is a love letter to the Latinx community of Boyle Heights, a neighborhood of Los Angeles. The half-hour series, originally a short-form digital series, follows three Mexican-American cousins and their immigrant grandfather as they all try in different ways to keep the family taqueria afloat after their landlord doubles the rent in an attempt to price them out of the quickly gentrifying neighborhood. Like One Day at a Time and Jane the Virgin before it, the half-hour series is a sublime mixture of comedy and drama, and [it is full of heart as it examines complicity within the Boyle Heights community and who gets to define culture](.

BETTER THAN THE RISE OF SKYWALKER
[Star Wars: The Clone Wars kicks off its epic conclusion](
Final season premiere now on Disney+
One of the perks of a [Disney+ subscription]( is being able to watch the long-awaited final season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, the animated series that covers the time between the events of The Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith. The 12 new episodes, the first since 2014, provide closure for the series’ ongoing storylines. Friday’s Season 7 premiere introduces the Bad Batch, a group of clones engineered to be super-soldiers with special skills, as they infiltrate an enemy base on Anaxes with Rex, who is convinced Echo actually survived the Citadel. Future episodes reveal what life outside the Jedi Order is like for Anakin’s Padawan Ahsoka, as well as the long-teased Siege of Mandalore and the return of Darth Maul. It took a long time to get here, but it was worth the wait.
CONGRATS TO YOU, CONSTANCE WU
[Fresh Off the Boat goes out on a quiet, predictable note](
One-Hour Series Finale Friday at 8/7c on ABC
The fact that Fresh Off the Boat is ending after six seasons (and a shortened sixth season at that) has nothing to do with the fact star [Constance Wu believes she has better things to do with her time](. Probably. In the first half of the series finale, the boys bond while on a road trip to find their D.C. time capsule, while in the second episode, Eddie (Hudson Yang) receives a 1500 on his SATs but decides he wants to go to culinary school, leading Jessica (Wu) to grapple with the fact her plans for her sons might not pan out exactly as she had hoped. Of course, the most important thing to know about the finale is that it namechecks Police Academy (which is [now streaming on Netflix](.
ALTERNATE REALITY BITES
[Supergirl turns the big 1-0-0 with a new twist on the clip show](
Sunday at 9/8c on The CW
I turned around for five seconds and Supergirl went from a show that didn’t quite fit in on CBS to a show with 100 episodes under its belt. The CW series celebrates this major milestone on Sunday by taking the good ol’ clip show for a spin and asking “what if?” When Mxyzptlk returns, this time in the shape of guest star Thomas Lennon, he offers Kara (Melissa Benoist) the opportunity to go back in time and tell Lena (Katie McGrath) she’s Supergirl before Lex can. But is it worth changing history just to save a great, fan-favorite relationship? If it means [getting to see the familiar faces of Jeremy Jordan, Chris Wood, Odette Annable, Sam Witwer and more]( it seems not like a good idea, but a great idea.
WHAT IS DEAD MAY NEVER DIE
[The Walking Dead reminds us it’s horror](
Midseason premiere Sunday at 9/8c on AMC
Picking up right where we left off, The Walking Dead’s midseason premiere finds Carol (Melissa McBride), Daryl (Norman Reedus), Jerry (Cooper Andrews), and several others having to fight their way out of a dark and claustrophobic subterranean cave after being lured there by Alpha (Samantha Morton), a crappy move if we’ve ever seen one. We’re fairly certain that not everyone is going to survive the intense episode -- especially [after seeing the first 90 seconds]( which features great horror action inspired by The Descent. Even worse, though: It will put you off spelunking for life.
