A raunchy comedy about puberty, a superhero show unlike any youâve seen before, and the final season of a trippy prestige drama are your weekend picks
Hello!
Shuffling into its tenth season this weekend is [The Walking Dead](. If you’re like me, you probably dropped off the show when Michonne and Andrea became the romance that never was. But according to the Dead Heads in the office (yes, they hate it when I say that, but I have to grab joy where I can), Season 10 is bringing the show back to its former heights of glory. Ever since Angela Kang took over showrunning duties, she’s been [rotating out cast]( infusing the series with [new energy and conflicts]( and letting fan favorites finally step into [the limelight](. But if you’re gonna let this season collect dust on your DVR anyway, check these other weekend premieres and binge the entirety of Season 10 when its over. - Senior Editor, Krutika Mallikarjuna

[Raising Dion is a new kind of superhero show](
Now on Netflix
In a genre that's ever-expanding, Raising Dion is one of the few superhero TV shows that's genuinely unique. Produced by Michael B. Jordan (who also has a small but memorable part) and starring Alisha Wainwright and Jason Ritter, Raising Dion starts off as a look at an unusual family raising an eight-year-old boy who is manifesting superpowers. It quickly turns into a totally original exploration of toxic masculinity, and is one of the few shows to go beyond just pointing out male entitlement. Raising Dion asks, and answers, what does it take to raise a good man?
GET READY TO PUT THAT BUBBLE BATH REMIX ON REPEAT
[Big Mouth is back for a truly trippy Season 3](
Now on Netflix
Big Mouth, the foulest, purest, wildest show on TV, is back this weekend for Season 3 and it’s bound to trigger your secondhand embarrassment. It’s absolutely wild how filthy the most wholesome show on TV can be, but Nick Kroll’s semi-autobiographic show about the disgustingly lust- and love-filled growth of your teens hits you in all the tender places in Season 3. Jessi learns to diddle her fiddle, a new sultry hormone monster is introduced, and Jay explores his bisexuality in full. That’s all really icing on the cake when you realize nothing you went through in puberty is this bad.
BAT SIGNAL STRONG
[Batwoman is the first LGBT superhero to headline her own show](
Series premieres Sunday at 8/7c on The CW
The latest entry to the Arrowverse comes just in time. With Arrow coming to an end after Season 8, the CW’s Batwoman is an excellent choice to pick up the mantle. The show, starring Ruby Rose as the titular’s alter ego Kate Kane, [is no Arrow clone however](. Batwoman is dark and gritty in a way only Gotham could be, and the main hero/villian pairing outshine even DC’s most famous ships. With a queer woman (and several queer pairings) finally at the center of a DC show, the CW is certianly leveling up its superhero franchise.
TIFFANY HADDISH SAID WHAT?
[Kids Say The Darndest Things brings back a classic with a new twist](
Sunday at 8/7c on ABC
Never throw anything away, because everything comes back in style. Tiffany Haddish hosts the latest reboot of the ‘60s classic, Kids Say The Darndest Things. Mixing the standard formula of home videos (at least if you’re a late-‘80s/early-‘90s baby like me) -- aka insta stories, snaps, and tiktoks -- with in-studio segments interviewing the pint-sized stars of 2019’s most viral videos, Haddish serves up a fresh take on an iconic show
IT’S THE END OF A (CYBERPUNK) ERA
[Mr. Robot takes its fourth and final bow](
Season 4 premieres Sunday at 10/9c on USA
After watching Bohemian Rhapsody, you’d be forgiven for forgetting Rami Malek is actually an amazing actor. The Oscar winner clearly took a bow not for his particular performance as Freddie Mercury, [but the quiet brilliance of his career so far](. There’s nothing more exemplary in that career than Mr. Robot, which is back for a super-sized 13-episode final season. Malek plays a hacker who shares a brain with his late father, who over the course of four seasons has brought down the world’s financial system and is now dealing with the actual consequences of a Fight Club fantasy come to life. It’s been two whole years, but Mr. Robot’s farewell season was worth the wait.
