A new Sasha Baron Cohen drama (yes, drama), a comedy talk show worth tuning into, and the second season of a soapy spanish drama are your weekend picks.
Hello!
I’m gonna be really honest with you today. I have seen every episode of Friends. I also have no urge to ever see any episode of Friends ever again. And that’s not because I have any major issues with the show (though there are several), or because I’ve somehow developed an inhuman resistance to nostalgia, but because I am SICK of Friends anniversary content. No, I don’t want to know where the [orange couch]( is traveling to now! No, I have no urge to take a quiz that tells me that I’ve evolved into Janice (of! all! people!). No, I absolutely do not want to know what Marcel looks like now (okay, maybe I do a little). If you, dear reader, are like me and are thirsting for some original narratives, then have no fear. I got a boatload of juicy recommendations just below. Here are your streaming picks by Senior Editor [Krutika Mallikarjuna](.

[Couples Therapy is a riveting new docu-series that’s brutally honest](
Friday at 10/9c on Showtime
Showtime’s brand new docu-series, [Couples Therapy]( takes you on a whirlwind journey as four couples start relationship therapy to solve problems in their partnership that threaten to tear them apart. Dr. Orna Guralnik guides the four couples -- who span a number of genders and races -- over the course of four months through a process that’s equally insightful as it is voyeuristic. The show is less about romance than it is about being honest with yourself, and over the course of a season, you’ll start to wonder what you’re hiding from yourself as well. And in case you can't wait for weekly installments, all nine episodes can be streamed on-demand right now.
GOSSIP GIRL QUIÉN?
[Elite Season 2 is full of secrets, sex, and side-eye](
Now on Netflix
[Elite]( the spanish language drama about the wealthy teens who attend a highly prestigious prep school, took the internet by storm when it debuted last year. Soapy, sexy, and a highly seductive take-down of the 1% and their children, Elite takes a look at an institution built to raise the most powerful people in Spain and how far they have to fall. Season 2 will pick up with the fallout of Marina’s death, and only time will tell how many elites will go down for it in the end.
THOSE DOOM PATROL BLUES..
[Can only be quenched with Season 2 of Titans](
Now on DC Universe
[Titans]( one of three DC live-action shows available to stream on DC Universe, is not the best of the bunch. But that’s because Doom Patrol is literally the most chaotic good superhero show ever made. Standing next to that opus, Titans, about a group of teens accidentally falling into a superpowered group and teaching each other the skills to be real heroes, is charmingly flawed. Featuring stellar, earnest performances from a mostly unknown cast, Season 2 will dig way past the danger-of-the-day mysteries and deep into Justice League mythology. We know [Iain Glen]( (Jorah from Game of Thrones) is stepping into the shoes of Bruce Wayne, and I personally can’t wait to watch the most haggard version of Batman yet.
SASCHA BARON COHEN LIKE YOU’VE NEVER SEEN HIM BEFORE
[The Spy features the Borat actor in a surprising dramatic turn](
Now on Netflix
[Sasha Baron Cohen]( is almost unrecognizable in [The Spy]( Netflix’s new drama about an undercover Mossad agent deep undercover in Syria. Based on the true story of Eli Cohen -- a man who was rejected from Mossad twice before being given a mission he couldn’t handle -- The Spy is a tense thriller, despite the fact the if you google the man, you know his tale doesn’t end well. For any Homeland fan, this is a must-binge as it’s from Gideon Raff, whose Israeli series was the basis for the Showtime thriller.
IMAGINE IF COMEDIANS IN CARS GETTING COFFEE WAS FUNNY
[Good Talk with Anthony Jeselnik is a comedy nerd’s dream](
Friday at 11/10c on Comedy Central
Full disclosure: Unlike I hate Seinfeld. I also hate, in no particular order, The Bee Movie, and Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. But despite finding Jerry Seinfeld wildly annoying, I still find myself struggling through his Netflix show for the backstories of all my favorite comedians. Now thanks to [Anthony Jeselnik]( I don’t have to. His new talk show [Good Talk with Anthony Jeselnik]( is a comedic cacophony every stand- up, sketch, and improv nerd will want to tune into. Slightly combative in the vein of Between Two Ferns, Jeselnik brings his closest friends (like Nick Kroll and Tig Notaro) on to teach us a damn thing or two about comedy.
