Reunion Part 1 Thursday at 9/8c on Bravo
The first part of a trilogy of RHONY Season 11 reunion episodes premieres tonight. It’s the traditional airing of grievances. [LuAnn de Lesseps]( is gonna get yelled at for relapsing, which everyone knows is a foolproof way to treat addiction. Luann and Barbara Kavovit are gonna yell at each other about the time Barb was caught on a hot mic saying the Countess can’t sing (“You’re not [Adele]( Luann!”). [Sonja Morgan]( yells at [Ramona Singer]( about being too old to be a social climber. The whole thing is like [the meme of Taylor Armstrong yelling at a cat](. You love to see it!
Blackblood’s back, alright!
[The Outpost is in-post](
Season 2 premieres Thursday at 9/8c on The CW
If you’re really into swords and sorcery, this mid-budg, exposition-heavy fantasy series may do it for you. Season 2 continues the saga of Talon ([Jessica Green]( the lone survivor of an elfin race called “Blackbloods,” so named for their, y’know, black blood. Talon has a little creature that lives inside of her that allows her to summon interdimensional beasts, as long as she knows their names. So she’s trying to find out their names. It’s kinda silly, but it’s kinda fun. While it’s not fair to compare it to [Game of Thrones]( both shows do have episodes called “Beyond the Wall,” so maybe The Outpost is inviting the comparison. Judge for yourself.
Front to the future
[Cities of Last Things is a triptych trip](
Now on Netflix
This Taiwanese movie has an interesting conceit: It spans over decades in reverse-chronological order as it follows a man on three crucial nights in his life. The first (last?) segment is set in the future and has a dystopian sci-fi bent the other two segments don’t, as they’re set in roughly the present and the year 2000. It’s a moody and violent character study of a man, Zhang Dong Ling, who’s played by three different actors at his different ages, and his relationships with the women in his life. It made a bit of a splash at the Toronto International Film Festival last year, and now it’s on Netflix. [Check out the trailer](.
Marone!
[Don’t be a mook, watch Mean Streets](
Now on Netflix
In preparation for The Irishman later this year, Netflix has made some of [Martin Scorsese]( early movies available to stream, like [Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore]( [Taxi Driver]( and most excitingly, Mean Streets, which has been absent from streaming services for a while. It’s the movie that made Scorsese’s reputation, and one of [Robert De Niro]( and [Harvey Keitel]( first films. It lacks the polish of his top-tier movies, but his signature use of pop music was fully formed. It has great shots of then-current, now-bygone decaying Lower Manhattan, and Richie Aprile from [The Sopranos]( ([David Proval]( who’s always looked older than he actually is.
