Sarah Jessica Parker is back for more sex in the city, an oddball noir thriller comes home via Amazon, and the best way to prepare for Wimbledon is to make fun of it.

[Veronica Mars](
[Veronica Mars is finally streaming, so catch up before Season 4](
Seasons 1-3 are now streaming on Hulu
If you’re one of those people who still haven’t seen Veronica Mars, the wildly popular UPN (and later The CW) series that began airing in 2004, your excuse of “I can’t find it streaming anywhere” is done-zo. [All three seasons of the Kristen Bell-starring series are now on Hulu]( as the streamer prepares for the long overdue fourth season, which premieres July 26. Rob Thomas’ (not [that Rob Thomas]( series was notable for its career-making break for Bell, its surprisingly intricate noir-ish detective story and portrayal of high school, and snappy dialogue, and it more than holds up today.
WHERE THE COOL KIDS GO TO DISAPPEAR
[Under the Silver Lake](
[What’s crackin’ Under the Silver Lake?](
Now on Amazon
There’s nothing like watching a movie and having no idea whether you liked it or not. There’s a good chance that [David Robert Mitchell]( ([It Follows]( Under the Silver Lake, a playful neo-noir thriller set in a surreal Los Angeles, will leave you with a puzzled “Huh” upon completion. [Critics were mixed on it]( — which is, pardon our pompousness, a good indication of “art” — some liking its aesthetic and the way it speaks to our paranoid generation, and others thinking it was a muddled mess (but that may be the entire point of the movie). [Andrew Garfield]( stars as a man who becomes obsessed with a woman he meets in his apartment complex, only for her to mysteriously vanish without so much as a buh-bye. His quest to find her through a series of signs which he perceives to be part of a larger message forms the backbone of the film, while weirdos in LA play the characters. This is destined for cult movie status, so get on board now.
STARTING OVER
[Divorce](
[Divorce has a new partner for a shorter fling](
Season 3 premieres Monday at 10/9c
Sex and cities can frequently lead to divorce, as [Sarah Jessica Parker]( knows all too well. Parker’s love of New York City and rad jackets continues in the third season of Divorce, which returns with yet another new showrunner (its third in three seasons) and another shorter season (six episodes, down from Season 2’s eight and Season 1’s 10). The comedy with brushes of drama remains mostly overlooked, but it’s still an adequate peek at life following the breakup of a years-long marriage, and this season Frances (Parker) adds job hunting to her list of things to check off in this new stage of life. Hint: It ain’t easy.
ANYONE FOR TENNIS?
[7 Days in Hell](
[7 Days in Hell is all the Wimbledon prep you need](
Now on HBO and its streaming apps
Wimbledon, the world of tennis’ most proper tournament, is underway in jolly old England, and besides practicing your queen’s wave and washing all your whites, the best way to get ready for it is by watching the tennis parody 7 Days in Hell. The 2015 comedy one-off stars [Andy Samberg]( as a brash American pro battling a buttoned-up British star (Game of Thrones’ [Kit Harington]( in a marathon Wimbledon match that lasted a week, and it’s about 100 times sillier than it sounds. The cameos are too long to list here, but expect drop-ins from [Serena Williams]( [Will Forte]( [Fred Armisen]( and many others. This is the first of two Samberg-starring HBO sports satires (both of which are fantastic), the second being 2017’s [Tour de Pharmacy]( so we’ll be recommending that in a future newsletter when the Tour de France gets underway later this week.
