America’s favorite medical drama makes history, plus the returns of a reality fave and a brilliant comedy, the finale of one of this season’s new hits and the much-anticipated debut of Hot Spock. Hello! It’s very hard to make a show like Grey’s Anatomy, and very easy to take that fact for granted. To do the same thing every week, rain or shine, with enough variation to keep it interesting but enough consistency to keep it familiar, with budgetary and time constraints, 332 times and become the longest-running primetime medical drama ever? That’s an extraordinary feat. That’s why Netflix is giving creator [Shonda Rhimes]( hundreds of millions of dollars to make [shows that won’t be as successful as Grey’s Anatomy](. You strike gold one time and you’re set for life (to be clear, Shonda Rhimes has struck gold [at least twice](. Only [Dick Wolf]( might be better at it (his One Chicago franchise, which [just got renewed]( is the only family of series since Grey’s Anatomy to truly succeed on that old-school network procedural scale except maybe [Bones](. So congratulations to the Shondaland family on their achievement. Read on for Grey’s and your other TV picks for tonight. -Liam Mathews [Your Watch This Now! newsletter is created by Senior Recommendations and Reviews Editor Tim Surette and more show-obsessed editors at TV Guide!]( WATCH THIS NOW [Grey’s Anatomy will live forever]( Thursday at 8/7c on ABC Who-liana Margulies? Tonight Grey’s Anatomy takes the crown (made of stethoscopes) from [ER]( as the longest-running primetime medical drama in TV history, with its 332nd episode. Grey’s premiered on March 27, 2005, and since that time has entertained millions and millions of people around the world and made [Ellen Pompeo]( millions and millions of dollars. In the episode, expect a lot of callbacks to classic Grey’s moments, as well as [Chandra Wilson]( giving the finger to a picture of [Noah Wyle](. Only ~13,668 episodes until it catches up to [General Hospital]( the actual longest-running medical drama. Sometimes things do get better [Better Things is more gooder than ever]( Season 3 premieres Thursday at 10/9c on FX [Pamela Adlon]( returns with another masterful season of one of TV’s most honest comedies. Her Peabody-winning FX series steps out from under a [Louis C.K.]( shadow (the disgraced comic co-created the show and was a writer and executive producer until FX terminated his deal after he [admitted to sexual misconduct]( and makes it abundantly clear that this was Adlon’s show all along. No one else could make this show, and it’s really hard to explain how in a quick blurb like this. It’s as if Adlon – who once again directs every episode of the season, including the intuitively perfect premiere – figured out a way to make a her character’s internal monologue into a TV show. And that doesn’t quite describe it, either. You’ll just have to watch it and see for yourself. Tuck it [RuPaul’s Drag Race is ‘elevengendary’]( Season 11 premieres Thursday at 9/8c on VH1 There’s a little bit of Drag Race fatigue in the RuPaulverse right now, because Season 4 of [All Stars]( just ended two weeks ago with a frustrating finale that felt like the judges couldn’t pick a winner, so it ended in a draw between [Monét X Change]( and Trinity the Tuck. But hey, the original Drag Race is always more fun than All Stars, and Season 11 has some fun new queens like [Silky Nutmeg Ganache]( Ra’jah O’Hara and not one but two members of the Davenport drag family, A’Keria Chanel and Honey. Most exciting, though, is the return of Season 10’s meme queen Miss Vanjie ([Miss Vanjie, Miss...Vanjie](. If you’re a fan, it’s time to werk. Adriana in Beantown [A Million Little Things goes big]( Season 1 finale Thursday at 9/8c on ABC AMLT brings its first season to a close with an episode that promises some big developments in the Barbara Morgan mystery, and then some. Seriously, this show is about to get crazy. [This Is Us]( would never do a twist like this. Guest stars in the episode include [The Walking Dead]( [Chandler Riggs]( in his first TV role since Carl kicked the bucket (spoiler alert for a year-old twist), and [The Sopranos]( [Drea de Matteo]( whose character we’re pretending is actually Adriana La Cerva in witness protection after escaping from the New Jersey mafia like she fantasized about on her way to be whacked (spoiler alert for a 15-year-old twist). I’m going going back back to Vulcan Vulcan [Hot Spock arrives on Star Trek: Discovery]( Thursday at 8:30/7:30c on CBS All Access [It’s finally happening]( After being talked about like the [Third Man]( all season, Spock ([Ethan Peck]( will make his debut on Discovery (which [just got renewed]( for Season 3). Burnham ([Sonequa Martin-Green]( will return home to Vulcan in search of her pointy-eared missing foster brother, who killed three Starfleet officers and escaped from a psychiatric facility. The whole season so far has been building to this. Is Spock the mysterious [Red Angel]( Maybe! Tune in to find out. [Unsubscribe]( | [View online]( ©2019 CBS Interactive | All Rights Reserved.
