RELIVE THE GOOD TIMES [The Good Place]( [The Good Place goes back to the Good Place]( Thursday at 8:30/7:30c on NBC Season 3 of NBC’s comedy has spent most of its time on boring Earth rather than the froyo-filled afterlife, but in this special episode, Michael lets Eleanor remember some of the good (and bad) times in the Good Place as she makes sense of the time she and Chidi fell in love in Season 2. It’s Kristen Bell’s Emmy reel and the best episode of the season so far, and not just because it features very adorable puppies. UNCOMFORTABLE BUT NECESSARY [Give Us This Day]( [Give Us This Day looks at an American epidemic]( Thursday at 8/7c on Audience Network East St. Louis, Illinois, has the highest murder rate in America — three times that of Chicago, even — yet its problems are largely swept under the rug. This documentary follows three at-risk teens and three police officers over the course of a year in East St. Louis to see how gang violence, crime and an unsupportive infrastructure have failed its citizens. It’s not easy to watch, but it’s important nonetheless. PARENTS WILL UNDERSTAND [The Cry]( [The Cry is the latest must-see imported thriller]( U.S. premiere Wednesday on Sundance Now Doctor Who’s Jenna Coleman stars as a mother whose son is abducted while on a trip to Australia. But the kid’s disappearance is just the beginning of the psychological drama, which looks at the difficulties of parenting and public scrutiny in a four-episode thriller based on Helen Fitzgerald’s novel.
