He spent 27 years as an officer and public servant, leading programs to foster a stronger and more positive relationship between law enforcement, individuals, and the organizations within the community. He had a chance to put himself first, but he chose to reform that organization from within – so no one would ever have to experience what he did again.  🤔 or, we could tell you about how Tim took that commitment to justice and equality even further: After serving local law enforcement for nearly 3 decades, he set his focus on targeting inequities in the courtroom. He earned his J.D. and led case after case at the Philly DA's office protecting our youth, giving them new opportunities to move past their mistakes as functioning members of society. Now he's returned back to NJ to serve as a civil rights attorney, ensuring that folks get the justice and compensation they deserve across the community.  But beyond what "might" be able to convince you, we'll tell you what we know for sure will get you thinking about joining Team Tim:  Tim Alexander is running for Congress because he's ready to take his commitment to people-first leadership to the next level, championing things like affordable housing, access to healthcare, and creating a responsive government.  And let's not forget, {NAME}, he's ready to take down the self-interested, party-switching, far-right Republican Jeff Van Drew once and for all this year.  [{NAME}, we want to make sure this message reaches people across New Jersey's 2nd District – and our campaign needs your help! We're struggling to stay on track to raise the $12,371 we need to reach our End of Quarter Fundraising Goal before the deadline – will you donate today to make sure we can meet it?]( [REACH OUR GOAL]( Thank you, Team Tim Alexander  Tim Alexander is a civil rights attorney running to represent New Jersey's 2nd Congressional District. [timalexander-circlecrop]( As a New Jersey native, Tim enjoyed a long and distinguished career in law enforcement for the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office as a Detective Captain of the Criminal Investigation Section. After retiring from the Prosecutor’s Office, Tim immediately began working for the Philadelphia District Attorney as a member of the Philadelphia Youth Aid Panel. Later, Tim joined the Civil Rights Unit for the Philadelphia Solicitor’s Office. Eventually, Tim left public service and went into private practice handling civil litigation and currently is “Of Counsel” for Helmer, Conley & Kasselman, P.A. Tim continues to provide legal service in many aspects of law but concentrates his practice on Civil Rights and Employment Discrimination. Tim was born and raised in Newark, NJ where his personal journey led him to public service. Tim earned a bachelor’s degree in business management and a master's degree in business administration from Drexel University and a J.D. from Rutgers University. Tim and his wife, Anna, live in Southern New Jersey. Prefer to donate via mail? Address a check to Tim Alexander for Congress - 2024 P.O.
