Amazon and Vimeo Join Day of Action For Net Neutrality A band of tech companies, which include Amazon, Reddit, Vimeo and Kickstarter is mobilizing for a [day of action to save net neutrality]( on July 12th. The day of action is a response to the FCC’s plans to dismantle key net neutrality rules, which basically treat internet and wireless providers like public utilities, barring them from prioritizing any services on their networks. Bozoma Saint Johnson Joins Uber as its New Content Brand Officer Bozoma Saint John has said goodbye to Apple and hello to Uber. The former global head of consumer marketing will now join Uber as its new Content Brand Officer. According to a statement from Uber, she will be “charged with helping build a deeper, more meaningful connection between Uber and its customers.” Vivendi Acquires a Majority Stake in Havas For $2.5 Billion For an estimated $2.5 billion, Vivendi, the parent company of Universal Music Group and Canal Plus Group, has acquired a 60% stake in Havas, an advertising and communication group, from Bolloré Group. Havas is estimated to be the world’s sixth largest advertising and communication group, at 9.25 euros a share.
