[image]( Hey there! Today I'm dropping anchor in your inbox to talk about something that's as crucial to trading as a compass is to a pirate – the Investor Mindset. Why Focus on the Investor Mindset? In today's financial seas, choppier than I've ever seen, having the right mindset isn't just helpful – it's your lifeline. It's what gives you the confidence to sail through market storms while others are getting tossed overboard by waves of confusion and noise. A typical Money Press trade can last from 8-12 weeks. But it’s important to understand that it’s not going to be profitable every single week. (maybe you hit “pay dirt” on 6 of 10 of those weeks… and if so, can the trade still be profitable? Absolutely!) As you begin your Money Press journey, you’ll need to adopt more of a “baseball player mentality”. You see, in the regular world, we expect perfection from people who perform brain surgery, who pilot 747’s, and for anyone designing a mile-long suspension bridge… They better be perfect or else! However, as traders it can be tricky to tweak your mindset to understand you won’t achieve perfection. So back to the baseball mentality. Rather than striving for a perfect batting average, the best hitters in the world are getting a base hit 3 out of 10 trips to the plate. Which means the highest paid players fail 70% of the time (and, if they “fail” this way long enough, they make it into the Hall of Fame!) [image]( Now back to the Money Press . . . Realistically you’ll be scoring 70-80% of the time. The point being: You need to get comfortable with the fact you won’t be right 100% of the time. And that’s the Money Press mindset I want you to have from the get-go. Failing once in a while is normal and expected. Losing trades are inevitable! Understanding these facts is one of the bedrocks of you becoming a consistent, confident and profitable investor. One of The Main Benefits of the Money Press The reason I love trading and teaching my students the Money Press is because it takes advantage of the nuanced movements of the market (the 2 steps forward, one step back game). We let trades play out each week and don’t always react to sudden drops in price. We set up a game plan and let the week play out! Very seldomly do we have to intervene with a trade… Why? Because we know our overall risk coming into the trade through position sizing and risk exposure! That coupled with a stock that has a solid set-up with it is a recipe for success over the long run. Of course it doesn’t always work out. We take losses here and there. (just in the same way some of the best baseball players go through “slumps” here and there…but the averages play out because of their fundamentals!) However, this is a recipe for success. It has proven itself not just for me, but for thousands of other traders that we have worked with over the last 20+ years. The bottom line takeaway is the Money Press strategy will allow you tremendous success without having a perfect track record. It takes time and effort to learn and master, but it’s well worth it! I recorded a video that explains what I mean, so be sure to check it out!
