This week we will get another look at the inflation picture and maybe gain some more clarity on when the Fed could consider cutting rates. Of course, anything related to rate cuts is big news for the markets and will likely have an impact on where we go from here. The indices are trying to close out May with an impressive run and finish near all-time highs. Last week the S&P 500 stalled a bit while the Nasdaq finished slightly higher... both indices completed five straight weeks of gains. Nvidia's big earnings report helped inject a little life into the Nasdaq on Thursday even though the impressive start to the trading day faded as the markets dropped from the highs. This price action/reversal on Thursday makes us think the bulls are losing a little bit of their momentum. We are still riding this bullish trend, but proceeding with some caution here compared to the last few weeks. See you next week! View From The Crow's Nest 👀 Consumer Confidence Bounces Back 💵 Consumer confidence made a surprising comeback in May, breaking a three-month slump. The index hit 102, up from April's 97.5 and surpassing Bloomberg's forecast of 96. The resilient labor market kept spirits high, even though business condition views dipped slightly. According to Conference Board chief economist Dana Peterson, fewer people found jobs "hard to get," lifting the overall mood. [See Full Article]() T-Mobile's $4.4 Billion Dollar Deal 📱 T-Mobile is set to acquire nearly all of United States Cellular's wireless operations, including customers, stores, and 30% of its spectrum assets, in a $4.4 billion deal. This news drops nearly ten months after U.S. Cellular began exploring strategic options. Following the announcement, U.S. Cellular's shares surged over 10% in pre-market trading.
