While the production car has yet to be officially announced by Haval’s parent company Great Wall Motors, specifications for the SUV were released by the Chinese Government’s Ministry of Innovation and Information Technology in recent days, and is the same model seen in Australian patent images unearthed by Drive in July 2021 following the car’s unveiling at the Shanghai motor show. Two variants of the electric vehicle will be offered, according to official documents. The first will use a 61kWh battery pack to offer a claimed 470km range, while a second model claims a 600km range from its 80kWh battery – both quoted using the more lenient NEDC test cycle. Hyundai Motor was in sixth place in terms of global EVs sales in the January-June period, one notch down from the fifth position a year ago, according to the data by industry tracker SNE Research.
