and what the marketing will look like ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  In last week’s [presentation about the state of online marketing for coaches]( a lot of people asked me what’s working in marketing right now and what I’m doing next—not in a "what can I buy from you?" kind of way, more of a "how are you going to address all of these problems you’ve laid out?" Well, my friend. I’m working on something. The official debut of my "next thing" is coming soon and my hope is that the marketing will feel different than anything you’ve seen from me in the past. (The offer too, actually! It’s the best deal I’ve put out in years.) This week I’ve been sweating over the Google doc outline for the next iteration of Email Stars, which I’m running in a totally new way. The doc is unlike any of the digital course sales pages I’ve used to sell this program in the last seven years. >> It won’t be a big expensive long-form landing page. It’ll be quick and dirty and straight to the point. >> It doesn’t use the PAS framework (which stands for "problem, agitation, solution"). Who needs a new reason to be agitated? Not me. >> It doesn’t include promises of transformation. Clear outcomes that can be achieved with a bit of elbow grease? You bet. Pie-in-the-sky promises? No, ma’am. >> It’s explicitly clear who it is for and who it is NOT for (no games—if you don’t have an email list, don’t buy this.) At some point I’ll probably add one or two testimonials, but they will not contain any unverified claims about revenue. They will feature middle-of-the-road, achievable-for-anyone outcomes that don’t require you to watch more than a few lessons. I know I’m hard on the industry sometimes (okay, a lot of the time) but the truth is I still LOVE email marketing and I love seeing what happens when business owners start getting more consistent, writing emails that are actually interesting and valuable, and making more offers to their email lists, no matter what the size. Email Stars Backstage Edition will debut THIS FRIDAY, and I’m going to host one more Q+A call that same day (Friday, November 18 @ 10am PT / 1pm ET) because my subscribers sent me WAYYYY more questions than I could answer. I wanted to get a chance to answer some of the less complicated ones like… - How did you build your email list from scratch? - Do you think pre-recorded webinars are officially dead? What about asynchronous courses? - Are high-ticket offers unethical? - What are some ways to build my email list without an opt-in? - Do you promote your highest ticket offer to everyone on your list? - What's your first priority fix when you see a decent open rate but an embarrassingly low click-through rate? - How do you promote multiple sales at the same time for Black Friday? I’ll also give you a quick peek at this next iteration of Email Stars (spoiler: it’s a max. 20-person group, super intimate and includes 1:1 time with me), and what the marketing is going to look like. There will be a replay if you can’t make it live. (Once again, [here’s the replay for the last Q&A]( where we talked specifically about red flags in the coaching market and how to protect yourself and your customers). Mark your calendar for Friday, November 18 @ 10am PST / 1pm EST / 6pm GMT (for my early riser friends in Australia that’s Saturday at 5am AEDT). This will be your link to join —> I’ll shoot you a reminder on Friday morning with that link one more time. No need to register or do anything (except maybe put it in your calendar so you don’t forget). Hope to see you there and can’t wait to share this sweet low-tech Google doc I’m working on. T-Boss P.S. Flesch reading score

Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
