and I have the cure. ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  Copy Caboose is on sale for 40% off (that’s two hundred bucks in savings!) You can [buy it here](. And if you don’t want to get any more emails about it, click here to say, "[Please stop emailing me about Copy Caboose]( I’ll probably send two more unless you tell me not to. I got a love note on Voxer this week from my friend Kate who wanted to congratulate me on [my new website](. "It’s so clear, Tarzan," she said. "This website shows that you really know what you’re doing." I dropped my ratty t-shirt on the floor and sat on the bed to let that sink in. Imposter syndrome is a real thing. Just because I have a generous salary and a little caché in my industry doesn’t mean I don’t suffer from it now and then. When I’m going through a bout, I ask myself questions like: "Am I educating myself enough in my field?" "Do the rates I charge match my experience?" "Are people only buying from me because I’m charming and pretty?" All very normal and valid questions when I have my brains screwed on properly. There’s useful inquiry in imposter syndrome, and I don’t shy away from that. …but today, one day after the launch of my new website, is not a day for that kind of inquiry. Today it’s clear what I’m capable of. Today I know how smart I am. Today I own that I actually know what I’m doing. And you know what’s really cool? I already put it in [a copywriting program](. I already codified a LOT of the decisions I had to make in order to produce a website like the one that just went live. From how I establish writing habits to finding great stories to what makes a good headline to formatting any text for the best possible user experience. I’ve been doing this full-time for nearly 8 years. I’ve taken copy classes, sure, but I’ve also read stacks of books that have no obvious connection to copywriting but are actually super critical—like Wordslut by Amanda Montell, who makes an incredible case for why the singular "they" is the most appropriate pronoun in many cases. (Copy Caboose comes with a reading list, FYI.) It’s a super easy-to-watch program that’s very hands-on. You can use it to write whatever you’re already working on, whether it’s your website, an opt-in landing page or even a sales page. It’s on sale for $200 off until the end of the month. Check it out here. There are times we need to check ourselves and ask, "Am I qualified to be doing what I’m doing? Are there gaps I need to fill with more education?" But those shouldn’t be questions your potential customers are asking about YOU when they visit your website. The appropriate response to a well-written website is, "Wow, it looks like this person really knows what they’re doing." Which I do. And probably you do too. If your website doesn’t reflect that, consider taking Copy Caboose. [Enroll here —>Â]( Use the promo code "special" to get 40% off. XOT P.S. Want me to just do it for you? I loved my collab with Gigi so much I asked her, "What if we did another one?" If you’re interested in that, hit "reply" and we could talk about it. Want to access your fave emails on the go? Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
