After one week in court, Habba remarked that the president's case is very strong, asserting that the presiding judge erred in ruling that the Trump real estate empire significantly inflated the value of properties like Mar-a-Lago for favorable business deals. Former President Trump has characterized the trial as part of a broader "witch hunt" orchestrated by Democratic prosecutors like James, who he alleges are weaponizing the courts to hinder his chances in the next year's general election against a weakened President Joe Biden. Habba stated, "This court, which we strongly believe we shouldn't have been in, we've been fighting hard.
