It’s also an Olympic year. And a leap year. And my son is entering high school 😲 (wild!) And finally, it’s also your year. I believe that, everyone here at SPI believes that, and we’re going to make sure it happens, together. That’s why we’re here. I recently dove deep into what’s coming in 2024 and how I want to shape my year. I can’t predict what’s going to happen, but I can point myself in the right direction, and I want to help you do the same. I’m hopeful you’ve already given some thought to your specific goals. In this newsletter, I want to talk about some themes around those goals and how to make the most of the 366 days in 2024. Let’s get unstuck… QUOTE OF THE WEEK "The best way to predict your future is to create it." – Peter Drucker THE STORY Distractions: Navigating the Noise First up, let's tackle distractions. In a year that's bound to be full of headlines and happenings, staying focused is key. It's easy to get sidetracked by the buzz of an election year or the excitement of the Olympics. But remember, your goals need your attention more than the news does. Think of it this way— you're the captain of your ship in a sea of distractions. Regardless of what’s happening around you, it's essential to keep your hands steady on the wheel, guiding your ship toward your goals. Recognize these distractions, acknowledge them, but don’t let them steer you off course. Your Past: A Launchpad, Not an Anchor Next, let's talk about your past because it's super easy to get bogged down by the should-haves and could-haves. Here's a different perspective: treat your past as a launchpad, not an anchor. It’s full of lessons and experiences that have prepared you for what’s next. Remember, every experience, good or bad, has equipped you for future success. Goals: Close and Achievable Next, let’s talk about that voice that’s talking to you about your goals, and the story you’re telling yourself. If you're feeling that twinge of imposter syndrome, guess what? That means you're pushing yourself, and that's a good thing! Your goals for 2024 might seem daunting now, but you’re closer to achieving them than you think. As I’ve written about before, imposter syndrome often comes right before an inflection point in a person’s career or business. That’s a huge thing to realize, and I can tell you from experience that it’s true. Community: Stronger Together I can't stress the power of community enough. In [SPI Pro](, and within the [SPI All Access Pass](=), we’ve seen time and time again how collaboration and support can elevate everyone. In 2024, make it a point to connect with others who share your vision and values. We’ve seen what happened last year within our community (as it grew at record numbers) — we want you to be a part of that magic too, whether it’s with us or somewhere else. Whether it's finding a mentor, a business partner, or just a supportive friend, remember we are stronger together. Accountability, support, and friendship are important aspects of business that many people don’t prioritize, but I think you should. Bold Actions for a Bold Year Finally, let’s talk about taking bold actions. To make 2024 stand out, you’ve got to be willing to do things differently. This might mean stepping out of your comfort zone or trying something completely new. Think about the biggest step you can take towards your goal, and then dare to take it. These are the bold moves that will define your year. It’s not doing more of what you’re doing, it’s thinking about it differently. That’s the 10x approach. Not 10x in effort, but rather where you’re putting that effort and how it’ll help you. Remember: it’s not just another year. It’s your year to make waves, grow, and achieve like never before. I believe in you, and I know you've got what it takes to make this year truly remarkable.
