These are the TOP 5 struggles most people have with email marketing (and my honest answers about each)  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ This weekend, I personally responded to over 300 emails that came in from people who were struggling with email marketing in various ways. I listed the most common struggles below, along with my responses, so that you can have them all in one spot. This may be one for you to print out. Oh, and as a reminder, my limited-time offer for one of my most popular courses, Email Marketing Magic ends tomorrow. Be sure to [click here to get $100 off the regular price]() + a bonus workshop that will help you get more traffic, too. Here are the top 5 struggles I saw come in: 1. "I struggle to grow my email list." This was by far the #1 struggle shared. Growing an email list is not as easy as putting a form on a website or just asking people to join a newsletter. People don't give their email for nothing or something they have to wait for. They want something NOW. (We are in the era of "on demand", aren't we?) Here's the answer: Create an irresistible lead magnet (Small PDF, video, quick start guide, cheat sheet, checklist, etc.) relevant to that audience, but one that comes with a promise. It needs to provide a result. Not just "news" or "exclusive tips". Pop it onto a landing page and then you have to sell it. Yes, it may be free to download, but you still have to convince a person it's worth their time. Add testimonials, share what's included, relate it to your target audience, and make it easy to get. Start with one lead magnet, created for one group of people with one specific problem. Focus on that. 2. "How will people find my landing page to begin with?" A perfect follow-up to #1, because if no one knows you or your landing page exist yet, then it's definitely not going to grow your list. So how do we get people to know about it? Well, you have to market it. Here's the specific answer: Choose one marketing channel (several work), and go deep with it. Make it everything you learn about, do, and try, and fail, and get up again, and then do better on the next go. Most people aren't getting found because their not showing up fully on a single platform - they're divided across many. For example, maybe the single marketing channel you try is guest podcasting. Get in front of other audiences that exist already, share some amazing value, and pitch your irresistible lead magnet at the end. Do 1 guest spot every 2 weeks for 3 months, and forget about all of the other things you could do. I promise that when you narrow down your marketing energy, things start to work better. It's like a hose. Too wide of a mouth, and the water just flows out with minimal force. Make the mouth smaller, and you have more pressure and force that you can really make some noise with. The trick is, however, you want to choose a marketing channel that can expose you to new audiences, not channels where you show up in front of people who already know you. Here's a list of channels that have really good opportunities to get in front of new audiences: YouTube, SEO (Search Engine Optimization), Podcasting, Instagram Reels, Tik Tok, Amazon Kindle, Reddit, & Forums or Groups. Pick ONE and own it. Then, bring those people to your email list so you can serve them even further. (By the way, this is the kind of stuff I talk about in my step-by-step course, [Email Marketing Magic](), and in the bonus that comes with the offer that expires tomorrow. I'd love to help walk you through some of this.) 3. "No one opens, replies or engages with my emails." Growing a list is cool, but what's not cool is sending emails only to hear crickets. This may be happening for a few reasons: 1. Emails just aren't getting through. Depending on what you write in your email, and where it's coming from, it may just end up in a spam folder. Email deliverability is important, and there are certain ways to give yourself the best chance that most of your emails will actually reach a person's inbox. 2. Your email subject lines are boring and blend in. Subject lines are the first and only thing people see (except for a little note next to it, which you CAN customize), and that's all you get to convince a person to stop scrolling and click to read what's inside. You opened this email, and it wasn't because of anything I've written in the body. 3. People aren't excited about your emails in general. The way you talk about what's coming matters - a LOT. If you just pitch your email list as a "newsletter", or "exclusive tips", how in the world could anyone be thrilled to stop what they're doing and click to make sure they catch that next email of yours. If you set it up well and give them something to look forward to in the next email, then you're more likely to create anticipation and increase your open and click-through rates. 4. "I'm afraid of getting unsubscribes." This one is all about what's going on up there, in your head. When people unsubscribe - THAT'S A GOOD THING. You are, in fact, making your email list stronger by filtering those people out who just aren't there to hear you out anyway. Your open rates will be higher, and your click-through rates too which improve your spam score and allow for more of your emails to go where they need to go. And the people who ARE on your list - you can be sure they're the warm bunch who would be more likely to reply and give you feedback or suggestions, to become a part of your beta group for the launch of your next course or coaching program, or to buy your book when it comes out and help you promote it, too. Are you going to let the idea that a person could potentially unsubscribe from your list stop you from potentially growing a stronger fan base and list of prospects who you could serve and help? 5. "It just seems to difficult, and I don't have the time." Okay, so you know this is going to lead to one more announcement about my course, because Email Marketing Magic is the perfect answer for this, but whether you take advantage of the expiring offer or not, here's my response: It's more difficult to sell without an email list. It's more difficult to wake up and realize an algorithm or platform changed and you no longer have access to the audience that you've built. And finally, you don't have the time because you haven't prioritized it. Am I right? You just haven't made it a priority to get your email marketing where you want it. Plus, it doesn't take as long as you think. It doesn't have to be overwhelming. Of course, you can figure a lot of this out on your own, OR, you could get access to our second most popular online course at SPI, Email Marketing Magic. [Click here to join Email Marketing Magic and follow the thousands of others who have gotten better results with email because of it.]() EMM is not a library of all the things there is to know about email. That's NOT what you need. This course is exactly what one would need, and nothing more, to get results. From starting and growing an email list, monetizing it authentically, and then automating the processes after that. It's step by step, along with office hours with me each week to keep you going and answer questions, and access to other students in our SPI Academy, too. All life time access, for $100 off the regular price, plus an incentive bonus that goes away tomorrow, too - our Traffic Booster Workshop. [Click here to see more info about]()[Email Marketing Magic](), and take advantage of the offer while it's still here! It ends tomorrow. And yes, there's a 30-day money back guarantee, so all the risk is on me. Thanks again, and I appreciate you hearing my pitch. Hopefully you can see how you can both serve and sell at the same time, which is the way it should be. And hey, if it's not the right time for you, that's okay. But if you want to REALLY make this work and make it worth your time, I look forward to helping you out. Cheers, and all the best! The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
