[The SMART Digest: Useful content, powerful tools, and exclusive deals from Pat Flynn and Smart Passive Income] Hi, {NAME}! Around this time last year, I recall having just started our family garden in our little backyard in southern California. I was so happy to finally grow my own food for the first time in my life, and although the harvest was small, it was still something I could be proud of. Now in my second year of gardening, I can see things have improved 10x—we have a lot more growing (i.e. less things are dying), and I've even started experimenting with new types of fruits and vegetables, like watermelon, berries and even passionfruit. Big thanks and shoutout to Kevin Espiritu from Epic Gardening for the training and support! It's kind of ironic, because right now at SPI we're helping to train a certain set of beginners to create something for the first time. Not growing food, but starting a brand and a website, and as we finish up Beginner's Week, we've already seen so many new entrepreneurs "plant their first seeds" and already see results from their efforts. If that's you, great job! Now, we can begin talking about how to grow our brands, and turn them into something fruitful.
