Help families who have lost everything by making a donation to Red Cross Disaster Relief right now. Having trouble viewing this message? [Click Here] [Disaster Response Update. Donate Today.] Dear {NAME}, Louisiana has been struck by what is likely the worst U.S. disaster we’ve seen since Superstorm Sandy in 2012. Historic flooding continues to submerge vast swaths of southern Louisiana, trapping thousands in their homes, requiring water rescues of over 20,000 people and forcing more than 10,000 people into shelters. So far, six people have lost their lives. We are anticipating more than 10,000 homes destroyed or heavily damaged, impacting at least 40,000 people, and we expect to be conducting active relief operations in Louisiana for at least 6-8 weeks. As we are helping the people affected by the deadly flooding in Louisiana, hundreds of Red Cross volunteers continue to provide relief to those affected by the devastating and historic flooding in West Virginia and fast-moving wildfires in California, which collectively have destroyed hundreds of homes and displaced thousands. This is all in addition to responding to home fires everyday like the multi-family fire that displaced 25 people in Kentucky over the weekend. [You can help the children and families across the country who have lost everything by making a donation to Red Cross Disaster Relief right now.] Nearly every eight minutes, the Red Cross helps a family who has lost everything to a home fire or other disaster. With your support, we can be there once again to make a difference. [We can’t be there without your support. Please give to Red Cross Disaster Relief today.] Thank you for your consistent support.
