The moment we face is urgent â we all know this â and while most eyes have been on flipping the Senate, I know that electing Democrats across the board is a must if we are to move the country forward with bold vision.
Our boldness cannot just work to fix whatâs been broken over the last four years, but to build lasting impact for working families. We need fresh leaders like Qasim strengthening our numbers in the House and bringing their lived experiences of service to our policymaking.
[That is why I endorsed Qasim earlier this year, and am asking you to support his campaign through these final days. Now is crunch time, and we have seen record turnout across the country, specifically in VA-01, but we cannot let up until every ballot is cast and counted!](
Watching Qasimâs campaign build a grassroots movement that has put him in position to flip his district Blue has made me proud. For 13 years his opponent has held this seat, and local voters report that theyâve hardly seen change for the better.
We need leaders ready to answer the call as coronavirus cases continue to rise in hot spots, millions are still out of work and need assistance â not to mention all the long term reform needed to rebuild our economy and cut out corruption so that our government is working for the people again.
